Homewood Suites by Hilton Portsmouth

Sheets had a stain. Requested they be changed. This was done. I asked the person who changed the sheets to bring bar soap to have by the sink. This was never delivered. The next day I asked the front desk for the soap. I was told they were out of bar soap but could use the body wash that was in the shower.

Great breakfast

Very clean, cosy, staff adorable.

Nothing.

Unfortunately, our first suite was dirty. I am not a picky traveler, but the one thing I look for is cleanliness in a hotel. Upon arrival to our first room, I could immediately tell it wasn't up to par. The Fridge (we had a full kitchen in the suite) was filthy, the kitchen floor had spills all over it, crumbs everywhere. The Carpet had crumbs on it. One bed wasn't made properly, looked like the comforter had just been pulled up. Upon opening it up, it was indeed dirty (hair on the sheets), and the tub had hairs in it. Whomever cleaned this room - DIDN'T clean the room! The good news is when I called down, the hotel staff immediately rectified the situation and moved us to another room. The new room was as expected, clean and after that our stay improved greatly. I do appreciate the hotels quick response.

The staff was very helpful- Erin at the front desk helped us with early check in and later that night we had an issue with our key getting lost and they were also there to assist us at a very late hour.

Nice location

Found clumps of hair in our freezer and microwave. Food from the last guests in the fridge. Dirty bathroom. No hot breakfast served in the AM. Chaffing dishes put out with nothing in them.

My card was charged two transactions that I did not charged. And got locked up

Wonderful location. Clean and up to date. One front desk staff member was rude and should not be in customer service, but the other employees made up for her snot nosed attitude. The rooms were great!

Gym, free breakfast and room size were all positives. The room condition was pretty bad and requires a much needed renovation.
