Hilton Garden Inn Columbia/Harbison

The location was beautiful. I loved the fact there was a view of nature all around the facility.

The windows don’t open to allow for fresh air into the room.

This was perhaps the worst hotel room we have ever stayed in. The room was old, smelly and looked like it had been ransacked by someone who took anything not locked down. We checked for bed bugs….no signs of any. Slept there, but got up early to get the heck out. And this room was top dollar! Come on Hilton family don’t you have enough money to renovate these places? Unbelievable.

Location is perfect for food, shopping and ease of access to route 26.

7.00 for a bud light is a bit much. After my shower, I grabbed my towel and found a used bar of soap on it with short hairs. The pillows are to soft and I didn't sleep well because of that.

It was convenient to where we went for dinner and there was a whirlpool tub, but we ended up not being able to use it because we were on a time schedule and couldn't get into our room until after 6pm. The whole reason we booked there is because of the whirlpool tub.

Unable to checkin on time, even after leaving and coming back, it was over 3 hours after checkin time before we could get to the room. The toiilet wouldn't flush properly, nobody at front desk when we tried to get help with the toilet, AC wouldn't cool the room and kept turning off regardless of what temp it was set for, room door lock was messed up - able to get in the room without a key at times but then other times unable to get in even with the key and the light turning green after scanning the key - the lock would latch and not unlatch.

While the front lobby was recently renovated and nice, the rest of the property was a bit outdated. For the price, I was expecting more. The bed sunk to the middle, the pool was tiny, and the breakfast was no better than a comfort inn breakfast but for $20/day. If this had been a $100/night hotel room I would have felt it was fine, but I was really disappointed in what we got for the price.
