So noisy we didn’t sleep . The entire area was very sketchy. Never again . Plus we paid around $100.00 and they sent a special the next day on my email for $55.00 . I had already paid .

Hotel Belmar Galeria is the go-to boutique hotel to stay in the Romantic Zone for my wife and me. We have stayed for a week at a time many times since 2014. Belmar is only four blocks from the beach, has a super friendly staff, has large bottles of purified water, coffee in the lobby in the mornings and hot showers. I recommend booking a high-floor room with an outside balcony, which comes in handy for watching the busy street scene and drying out beach towels and swim suits in the sun. We actually like the extra exercise of taking the stairs, and now that the buses are being converted from old diesels to new clean natural gas buses, the traffic noise and pollution is much improved. And with the new condominium tower being build just to the north of Belmar, the area is becoming even more desirable.

"Basic Service for what you pay for."

6.0

This is a basic hotel that meets your needs, a bed, bathroom. I did have to live out or my suitcase, but I was on vacation and it was not that big of a deal. When I booked it let me know that there was no Air Conditioning, which in January is NEVER an issue but to my suprise there was a portable unit in my room. I had an interior room with no view to speak of... again, vacation and did not spent much time in there. If you are not able to handle stairs, this is not the place for you. I did find the front staff to be very polite and helpful and never seemed irritated when I had to be let in at 3 or 4 in the morning. You may have guests in your room until about 10 or 11 pm but they must leave their identification at the front desk. It may seem an inconvience but for your safety, I totally see why they do this. I am a frequent traveler to Puerto Vallarta and while I usually rent a Condo, this was a last minute booking during a busy time. Just remember, it is basic, clean and you wont be disappointed. **Smokers alert... if you smoke be prepared to walk un and down a lot of stairs. NON SMOKING HOTEL**

"Poor experience in Puerta Vallarta."

2.0

The location was ok but very noisy in the morning. We had room 24 which is actually on the 4th floor. No elevator so we had to climb stairs with luggage. Fortunately the deskman helped with tbe heaviest ones. Even climbing without luggage was arduous especially with a bad knee. The room had 3 beds in it, a tiny bathroom with an undersized toilet and a very slippery shower stall. Fortunately we only stayed for one night. Way over priced.

This is the kind of hotel you stay at if you want to have private quarters close to everything in the romantic zone without paying a lot of money. What this means: things aren't going to be perfect, and things will sometimes be downright quirky. But as long as you are open minded this place will work great and save you a ton of money. I loved the view from the 3rd floor (4th including lobby) corner wrap around balcony. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Additionally, there is art all over the halls and courtyard - this is a hotel and gallery after all!

"Ok if you like to explore"

6.0

Nice Art. Lots of noise and construction. Doesn’t look like the pictures due to construction. Stairs without elevator. Needed to ask to have the room serviced but when it was serviced they did an excellent job. If you want to be apart of the community on the bus line this is great. If you just want to lounge on the beach this isn’t the right hotel. Close to pharmacy and grocery stores. Near the river area. Kind of expensive for they type of hotel. Hotel was always clean and had great housekeepers.
