Hotel Belmar Galeria

I have been to Puerto Vallarta 17 times staying at 6 different places and yes you get what you pay for but this hotel didn't even compare to same price point hotels in same area. Hotel staff was there and said hello when you passed but never went beyond that. The bed was horrible. Refused to sleep on springs so they brought a different mattress into the room, didn't offer us to change rooms, even for an up charge. The shower was luke warm if that. The whole bathroom was bad, very small. When sitting on toilet with door closed the door touched your knees and my husband is only 5'8 making it very uncomfortable. Hotel did offer coffee in the morning with cookies. I would not recommend this hotel. Other hotels in same area are much better for the same cost.

This is a basic hotel with a few nice amenities. There is coffee and galletas every morning. The double room we had was pretty basic. It was clean. There was a refrigerator with a freezer compartment which was perfect for freezing water bottles. There is bottled water jugs or filtered water on many of the floors so you can fill your bottles--huge perk. The bathrooms are super tiny with a shower. Unfortunately, the room we had looks NOTHING like the pictures that are posted. The pictures show much more modern rooms and showers. Ours was completely dated. There is barely any room in the bathroom to sit on the toilet. The sheets looked a little bit dirty--not sure if they were stains or not. You get 2 bars of soap and 2 little packets of shampoo the 1st night and that's it. The noise from the street was drowned out by our constantly running AC. The location is great for exploring the area. I would still stay here again for the price.

Clean hotel. The area is very safe.Staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

The proximity to the Malecon and promenade makes it very easy to part of the daily hustle and bustle meanwhile quit and peaceful for rest.

Great location but very small room! No t.v. on our last day there.

This economy hotel is well operated. They have the right people for the jobs, staff is friendly and welcoming, from reception to the hotel maids. Everyone wants you to be comfortable, and I enjoyed my stay that way. Everything is clean, they are always fixing things that need attention, you can tell the owners care, just like the employees! Of course, you have some of the usual economy hotel challenges (A/C was noisy, location was great but lots of street traffic, hot water takes time to get, bed comfort is okay at best), but once you understand you can’t change much of this, you start to see how good they are doing with what they have.
