Great hotel in the heart of it all

Location close to bars and restaurants, not too far from the beach. Nice comfortable room, small but good enough for 1 person. I loved the art all over the building. It gives this hotel a very unique feeling. No elevator though. It's a really good deal if you don't need full amenities.

I had a great experience here. I liked the little touches that were added to make it feel comfortable. The balcony in the morning was nice to sit outside and watch the day begin. The staff could not have been nicer, friendlier or more helpful. Good value for money and good location and I enjoyed the artwork throughout the hotel. Clean and nice vibe. Note I was there as a single traveler and felt safe.

Great location in the old part of PV. The room was compact but clean & tidy, the bed was comfortable and the shower had hot water & the water pressure was great.The TV had both English & Spanish channels with both CNN & FOX for those who like a balanced political view (LOL).There was a nice little balcony which overlooked the hustle & bustle of the street below. No elevator but hey don't we all need the exercise! The gentleman at the front desk was was very pleasant & accommodating.Not your high end luxury hotel but if you are looking for an authentic Mexican feel in a Mexican neighbourhood this is the place.Would definitely book again.

Excellent staff! Very helpful and friendly. The location is great! Within a short walk of malecón, market and bars.

The hotel is in a very good location. Treat yourself in a room with a balcony because you can sit outside and watch all the street activity.

No notice in the bathroom about not flushing toilet paper - I asked during check-in. Bathroom has a window sized vent into the interior of the building. Floors above can look into the bathroom as the tiny curtain doesn't block views. Other than that, everything good!

We loved Hotel Belmar ! It was clean, beautiful and had authentic Mexican charm. The rooms aren’t big but that’s typical (unless you are staying at a high end resort) and the bed was comfy. We stayed away from the street so it would be a quieter sleep. The best part about Belmar is the outstanding customerservice. Oscar and the rest of the front staff were personable and incredibly friendly. Oscar gave us suggestions for the best local spots to see and places to eat. The cleaning staff were also attentive and friendly when I did see them, always making sure we had what we needed in the room. The location is convenient to go just about anywhere in Vallarta, with a main bus stop a few blocks away that can bring you south towards Conchas Chinas, Mismaloya & Boca de Tomatlan. Would definitely recommend Hotel Belmar to anybody who is looking for a genuine Mexican experience.

The photo is an artist rendering and not what the exterior looks like. Other than that deception, the room and balcony meet my needs well. The WiFi and warm water worked well. Fridge was a nice surprise.

Just an ok place to stay for one night. No elevators. No real amenities.
