Noisy at times from traffic on street, otherwise it was charming

Great Location and friendly staff. Rooms are clean and had all I needed for a stay (I just need a clean bed, shower, and AC when I sleep). Located a short 5-10 minute walk to just about everything.

A coffee machine for the room would be great addition to an amazingly clean room.

Hotel Belmar was a pretty good deal for us. We found Belmar to be a good, solid, clean, friendly, comfortable hotel, situated near a lot of what Vallarta has to offer. We have travelled to PV many times and appreciated that this Belmar is central to many of the parts of Vallarta we like being within walking distance of - the beach, the Malecon and city square, Cuale Island, Basilio Badillo (Restaurant Row), and a ton of great shopping and entertainment. The only potential downside for some is that this 5 story has no elevator. We were on the 4th floor and benefited from the extra exercise but not everyone can do stairs or wants to.

Friendly staff, clean, good beds, central location

The hotel was in a great location for walking to everywhere, which we did every day. Very old hotel, which wouldnt have bothered us as we are not in the hotel but to sleep and shower, but when i had to shower in luke warm water i was not pleased. Two weeks with no hot water was disappointing. Do-able but very disappointing. We have stayed at many different hotels (same price range) in puerto vallarta and never had a problem with hot water anywhere else, so i cant really say you get what you pay for because that is not necessarily true.

The staff are friendly and efficient.The hotel is basic but in a very central location to walk anywhere.

I was warmly greeted and afterwards often wleomed by name. I got clear instructions for things I needed to know about the room and hotel. The room was as described, clean, comfortable, and the TV, wifi, overhead fan, and AC unit all worked well. the bed was comfortable and staff kept the room tidy. the hotel was clean and quiet and well appointed with original art.The location is great and I felt safe and secure when in my room and my belongings were secure when I was out. The hotel was excellent value for the money and I will be back !!!

Took an inside room to avoid street noise. Room was ok but very tiny. Ok for the two nights. Area was good
