Very clean, great price for the location

So excited to go to Myrtle Beach with my granddaughter. We had never been before and we did have a good time. Myrtle Beach has an incredible variety of activities, shops and dining choices. Something for just about everybody. Very expensive though so be prepared. That being said, this lodging facility was a disappointment. The room was spacious enough and with a decent view of the water. But the room and the entire facility desperately needs updating. The floors were gritty, the appliances old, the tub was showing its age (cracking), the coverlet on the bed was super thin and there were no extra blankets. The entire facility smelled musty, the marketing pictures of the amenities are A LOT nicer than the reality. The pool is way too small for the size of the facility. When we visited, the indoor pool and spa were shut down for renovations. Poor timing on the part of management since summer is the high tourist season. The garage is a nightmare with separate elevators for the garage and the resort, meaning if you are in a room above the 5th floor, you have to take a separate elevator to get to your room. This makes it a real pain coming and going. Navigating up the levels of the garage is tight - if you are going up and someone is coming down, one of the cars has to pull over, and the ceiling clearance is not made for big trucks or vans. The staff was friendly enough. Although, when trying to call and get some information pre-visit, I was left on hold for longer than necessary. I thought I had done adequate research prior to our visit...apparently not.

Will never stay here again due to the horrid parking conditions. Atrocious parking lot at best, if you drive a larger SUV (suburban), they Only have a few (limited) oversized parking spots, and if you don’t get one, you are out of luck and will have to make (three point turns) just to go to upper levels and back down to lower levels, or you can Pay to park, one block away, in a public pay to parking lot (in addition to already paying the resort $12 per day to park). Be aware, the turns in the parking deck are (one way) only in both directions. Security will measure vehicle and say you’re ok, but you will still hit the hanging height caution sign and they will also save spots for certain guests and, Will allow non oversized vehicles in oversized parking. Had to take uber on second day, just to not have the hassel with parking lot issues. Handicap parking is very limited. Room 1001 was clean, just know there isn’t a TV in second bedroom, limited kitchenware, second bedroom mattress needs updating (very uncomfortable). A/C will only turn down to 68 degrees. Only 1 ice machine (15th floor) was working, to service 22 floors of guests. Front desk staff were nice. Renovating indoor pool, sauna, workout area, etc during peak vacation season.

Typical tourist resort. Indoor pool closed and outdoor pools overrun with kids. If you are bringing kids it's probably ok. We couldn't use the amenities that are an extra charge.

Old. Bathroom not clean. No amenities at the front desk. Was told I would not be charged for parking and I was. No blankets on the beds. Guest room bed mattress old and lumpy. Cannot believe what you charged for that place!!!

This is not the fanciest on Ocean Blvd., meaning it doesn't have as many indoor bells and whistles in the water park area, however it has a terrific location, quiet and great beachfront condos. It tends to be more reasonably priced and condos are gradually being updated to granite counters, etc. It is clean, has an in house cafe and bar, and indoor pool and lots of outdoor pools, lazy river, etc.

My second stay at Beach Colony Resort, located north of Myrtle Beach. A little more laid back. I booked extra early and got to pick my room what a bonus. Top floor king with a ocean front view, the room was updated and clean. All the service and staff were friendly. From the beach, all the amenities and the price both my stays were awesome.

Great experience loved the pool variety and jacuzzi
