Beach Colony Resort

The room was everything . The view of the ocean and balcony was amazing. Being able to walk right onto the beach was great. The whole experience was great for the entire family from the moment we got there until we left. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo that had everything we needed.

The area feels safe and relatively quiet. There's a cute playground less than a block away. The building/ facilities are clean and the staff is always friendly. We've stayed a couple times and the rooms vary in updates/ amenities, but we have no complaints. Will be back next year.

The property needs some updates. Great concept just out of date and needs a really good cleaning. Everywhere from the bathrooms near the pools, up to the bed rooms. The mate in the bathtub had black mildew all under it. Dishes in the cabinet are dirty. You cant walk barefooted with out dirt. And that was upon our arrival. I take my shoes off at the door. The rugs need a good washing or at best a really good vacuum. The beds aren't horrible but spring mattress arent the way to go now adays. Lots of pillows which is a plus! After i made my reservation online i received an email from the hotel stating there will be a $200 deposit. When we get there to check in she tells me its $250. I showed here the email so she did only place the $200 deposit which was nice! On a positive note the view from our room which was on the 21st floor oceanfront was amazing! The coffee maker needs to be replaced. I cleaned it before i tried using it this morning. Start it and white calcium rocks came out all in the pot. So we had to wait till 8am for the coffee shop to open and buy coffee instead. So no coffee and sunrise for me this morning.

The room was absolutely perfect! The staff was friendly. At check in we met Tamra, the night desk clerk, I immediately felt as though I was among a friend. Thanks to Tamra, other staff and Beach Colony Resort for making our Myrtle Beach (anniversary trip) a very special memory. ( Forgot to mention Beach Colony Resort is the place we were married 16 years ago)

We have stayed at Beach Colony for the past 3 years. This year we had a 4 BDRM unit that was great for when friends and family came. Beach Colony is in a great location and has lots to offer. We would recommend Beach Colony for a winter break. Enjoy your visit

I reserved a one bedroom oceanfront room for my stay March 8th-14th 2025 Room 1604. Sorely disappointed as I stayed at Beach Colony two years ago and that room was amazing. This trip, the room was disgustingly dirty and outdated. The bathroom was the worst, as in the "closet" where the hot water tank and furnace was located, that was a fire hazard ready to happen. The furnace filter was falling apart, dirt and dust everywhere in there, floor was filthy. However after I went to tell the staff how dirty this room was and they did arrange to change the filter and sent a cleaning person who did a substandard job of cleaning. Lamps are in disrepair and need replaced, the pots and pans, dishes had food on them. Daily charges, I was charged $12.00 a day to receive a plaque for my window to park in the garage. I did not see one car in that garage with a plaque in their window, this is a new charge. I was charged a $15.00 daily resort fee that was expected. However, a $4.00 daily destination FEE, that I didn't expect and what was that for? Another fee of $15.95 Daily Housekeeping fee, your room is not cleaned daily or at all. I talked to a few owners that were there and they told me their HOA fee $1,000K plus per month, covers cleaning fees. If you are offered room 1604, say no.

Perfect for a little get away with the kids. The hot tub was amazing and so was the heated pool.

My only thing I would change would be to have my room cleaner as I had blood and poop on sheets on the beds and we had to Have them place fresh ones on. We had hardly any towels and or pillows but other then that stay was great.

The location is excellent. This end of the beach is much quieter and away from party hardy weekend crowd further south. The restaurant is quite good. The building and grounds are well kept and thr ammenities are excellent. The Unit web stayed in, 1115, was modern, very well appointed and extremely clean.

I love this place. Be sure to get a room above the 3rd floor if you are ocean side out you just get a view of the trees and not the ocean
