Area was safe, but overall difficulty to maneuver. Unit was strangely configured and very dated. Know that you need to know some basic knowledge of Spanish. Road signs were all in Spanish. Even a nearby restaurant - Chili's menu was in Spanish.

Regarding my recent stay at Club Cala, I must, regrettably, offer a 3-star rating. Despite the assessment of a cleaning fee, cleaning services were not rendered. Moreover, a regrettable miscommunication occurred during check-in concerning the outstanding balance, which was a significant disappointment. Further, the appliances, specifically the washing machine, operated at an excessive noise level, and dishwasher detergent was unavailable. I trust that future experiences will meet a higher standard.

The unit provided to my partner and I was perfect. From the view to the space. This resort however can benefit from a back up generator of some sort in the event of blackouts other than that our stay and trip was amazing.

Rafael was a great shuttle driver and gave great tips. Milton was a great front desk manager. Definitely use the app to request coffee. Housekeeping was a little bit slow in giving out coffee, but if you are insistent, they will provide. Also $2 coffee at Walmart. Econo is also close by. Market at Palma nova quite expensive, so I'd go to Walmart or Econo. We also had ants, so I only gave four stars for cleanliness. They did spray, but the ants kept coming back. Keep food away from kitchen counters. Definitely get a car if you are here. I went off-season, but found parking at Palms Inn Way, as well as intersection of Harbor and Coral. $7.25/day parking if you book with RCI. Las Palmas does have a nice kids park, skate park, and forest. Las Palmas beach is unswimmable, although it's nice to look at. We went to Macaron at Naguabo, beaches at Luquillo and Seven Seas and the black sand one, Humaco Nature Reserve, El yunque, and the waterfalls. San Juan has the castles, boardwalk along castle coastlines, La Perla (seen in Despacito), parks, marina, and old San Juan. Tacos birria best restaurant at Palma nova. 3 tacos (including shrimp) for $13.50. Pura Vida had good food at a decent deals (3 fish tacos for $18). Market at Palma nova quite expensive, so I'd go to Walmart or Econo.
