The Glen Mhor Hotel and Uile-bheist Brewery & Distillery

I only stayed for one night on a warm day. I could not get the window to open because I was afraid that it might fall out! Also the window frame looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time. Be aware that it could be a 4 story walk up without an elevator!

I have to say that this property is one of the worst I have stayed at for any price. The bathroom was terrible, the furniture needs to be replaced, the coffee service table is a low coffee table, totally unreasonable being so low. The lighting is very bad in the room, needs proper fixture. About the only thing that is nice about the property is the river view and the quiet location .

Terrific location and great character building and rooms

Very good location and lively atmosphere. The service and comfort could be better. There is no telephone to connect to reception . It is difficult to get help with the luggage up the stairs.

Rooms are spread through multiple buildings along the block, so each is probably different. Had an unusual room with 3 levels. Restaurant was good as well as Brewery. Make reservations for dinner. Breakfast buffet started at 7 and was fairly good. Was able to park on street in front for I think £4 by paying meter. And I think their lot in back would have been £12. Walkable to town for other dining options and some attractions. Close to castle, but still closed for renovation.

Cute room and supportive staff. I lost a ring and the hotel staff found it for me the next day. So happy. This is a working Distillery, something to remember. The location was within 2 blocks of restaurants and downtown Inverness, on the water, near the churches and sites. Would recommended.
