The Primrose

Our experience was very positive from the very start with the staff (Anna, Billie, and Elle) who offered us excellent extras that you don’t find at just every Inn. So many places Nicole and dime you these days, but at Primrose we found an abundance of friendliness, food, wine, and all the other basics too! Our room was great, the location was excellent, and the food was elevated. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone visiting Bar Harbor.

Loved the Primrose! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Walkable to town. Rooms are very spacious.

The Staff was excellent! Elle, Billy, and everyone with whom we interacted worked v hard to make our stay enjoyable. Room #4, with its private balcony, was a big plus.

Only one deficiency: no ice! This made for additional effort and "unnecessary hoorah" on our part.

Cozy 3 night stay at the Primrose Inn. The property is warmly decorated, rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff is friendly. I love the baked goods they put out in the afternoon. Chef Reckel’s breakfasts were excellent. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Bar Harbor.

Great location! Beautiful decor, art! Comfortable beds, lovely, roomy room. Delicious breakfast and afternoon snack. Knowledgeable staff answering g questions about the area, restaurants. Absolutely would stay again!
