The Primrose

Our anniversary week at this beautiful old bed and breakfast was an incredible blend of relaxation and pleasure. The room was perfect, and the hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. It felt like everything we needed was already taken care of. And the breakfasts were simply incredible! Thank you, Chef Rekel, for making our stay so special.

Went a solo trip to just unwind. Brandon was the perfect host! My room and the entire place was spotless. The atmosphere was so relaxed, it was quiet upstairs in the rooms and fun downstairs meeting and talking with the other guests. Ideal location on the edge of downtown- still walkable, but not a lot of traffic.

Staff was very nice and the room was clean. They had yummy snacks put out when we arrived which was very cute. Would stay again.

Honestly kinda a minor and strange thing that I didn't like was the upholstered headboard. Apparently it makes it more likely to have bed bugs and that gave me anxiety.

The breakfast chef at the Primrose is fabulous! The staff are all kind, caring, and responsive to all requests for all guests. The location is excellent, just a block or two away from the city center of Bar Harbor. Great location if you can find availability, they are that much desirable by repeated customers.

The cookies are so good, you can’t eat just one cookie.

We loves the charm and decor of the house! It is beautiful and homey. The staff was very friendly and so helpful! Their ice machine broke so they ran out to get us some!

Overall, I had a good stay at Primrose Inn. The location is great, right next to the harbor and the property was clean with friendly, helpful staff. The room was on the smaller side with limited space for luggage and the breakfast could have offered a bit more variety. However, the afternoon treats were a lovely touch and definitely a highlight.

Primrose is one of our favorite places in Bar Harbor! We have been coming for over 6 years, we love the friendly staff, and family friendly atmosphere, and all around great location. Prices of rooms are within budget wity each room has its own individual style.
