The Primrose

Primrose is a wonderful place to stay & they don't intend for their guests to go hungry. Coffee was ready when I came down at 6 every morning. Breakfast would be a choice of a protein option like frittata vs a carb indulgent option like Belgian waffles. Everything was wonderful, fresh and beautifully served. Homemade baked goods were available every afternoon along with tea or coffee. The rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. It is in easy walking distance to Bar Harbor and just a short drive to one of the Acadia entrances. The staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Staying at the Primrose was a happy experience! BTW, Brandon, do you ever take a day off?

Attentive host with Lifelong knowledge of the area and lots of ideas for local activities. Excellent breakfasts. Comfortable bed. Historic home with modern conveniences. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops.

We had a fantastic experience at the Primrose! Brandon was extremely helpful and gave us the perfect hike to do in Acadia Park! Anna was so sweet and helped us with everything we needed. The location could not have been more perfect and were able to walk into town so easily. The breakfast was also amazing! Everyone was so kind and attentive… the next time we are back in Bar Harbor, we will definitely be staying at the Primrose!

We absolutely loved this B&B. We stayed in Room 9 and loved the jetted tub, spacious room, fireplace, and private patio with a porch swing and rocker. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - as were the home-baked goods each afternoon. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You can walk to town in about 10 minutes. Can't wait to come back again.

Brandon was very fast in communication. The place was spotless. Absolutely perfect break in our road trip. With fresh homemade cookies waiting for us upon arrival. A true dream, so cosy and well located! A must if you visit Bar Harbor ⭐️

We had a great stay at Primrose! Brandon and Anna were wonderful, and very helpful with anything we needed-including recommendations for dinner and drinks. Elle was a complete joy, and so helpful and knowledgeable. The food was wonderful, and was served perfectly each morning by Billy. We will definitely be back to visit again!

We stayed 2 nights at Primrose Inn and it was a great experience. It was a 5-10 minute walk to anywhere downtown, and we felt very safe walking around even at night. We were also very close to an entrance for Acadia, and it only took us about ~10 minutes or less to reach the entrance for Cadillac Mountain. The breakfasts were delicious, and the afternoon tea and pastries was a very cute bonus. Our room also had a small private area of the porch that faced the gardens. We would definitely stay here again!
