Residence Inn Aberdeen at Ripken Stadium

We always stay at the Residence Inn Aberdeen when coming back to the area. The suites are spacious, staff are professional and courteous and the location is convenient to Harford County and White Marsh. The connected Courtyard has a cute bistro for an evening glass of wine. The sunrise view was very pretty out our window. We’ll be back!

Beautiful hotel!

Residence Inn provides the kind of stay I look for. The room was upscale and in working order. The free parking and free breakfast were fine.

The property was a surprise... but the room was worn, with the furniture badly scuffed and refrigerator having a lot of nicks and dings. Room was not in the best condition - as Gold Elite Members with Marriott we were disappointed. After observing these Facts and not going out on the deck at all. We returned close to 10:00 at night to find a large moth on the wall and turning down the bed a spider crawling around. The spider was destroyed. Informing the staff of our experience, we requested our charges be reversed for inconvenience - the floor manager was surly and repeatedly attempted to justify the bugs being in the room, which outraged us both by her Poor Hospitality and Consideration for a frightening and unpleasant experience. Assured by the woman on the floor when the matter was presented and pictures shown of both bugs, that it would be reconciled properly. It never was - only further indignant dialog with a floor manager named Lesley, who spoke as if it were not their fault. If you like baseball - great place - if you want a nice clean bug free room - Look Else Where ! Coupled with the very poor attitude by management, for customer satisfaction - it's not up to Marriott' high standards. Particularly for Gold & Platinum Elite members. A sad testimony...

There was a water leak from the room above mine over the toilet. Plaster started coming down. Since they were completely sold out they weren't able to move me to a new room. The options were to comp me for the room or find me a new hotel. It was very late and I was tired after a very long day, so I opted to stay where I was and was comp'd for the room since the floor was dry and the leak wasn't horrible. They were very apologetic and received letters from the GM and other managers. So it was resolved to my satisfaction.

I'm so happy we stayed here overnight on our way back home. We hit a ton of traffic and were able to stop and rest & refresh to finish our drive the next day.

This hotel is clean, friendly an nicely decorated. Breakfast is included and is quite good. Rooms are nice sized and well-appointed with kitchen area, seating area and bedroom area. Sinks are separate from toilet and shower. Area so 2 people can get ready at same time. Room was also quiet. Conveniently located with charming view of the ballfields.

We enjoyed our stay at the property; my son really liked the baseball field views and running around the bases at the smaller field. Of note- there are view options for rooms based on the side of the building you’re on. Ripken field is the field referenced in the listing for “field view,” but the smaller field and stadium (little league?) is on the opposite side. Unless your stay coincides with an Ironbirds game, you’ll get a better view with the small field due to its proximity and lower elevation relative to the hotel.
