Courtyard Marriott Lake Placid

Lake Placid is a beautiful area, and this is a comfortable place to stay.

We stayed one night at the hotel for a hiking trip. The hotel is in a great location but it is not within walking distance of the shops in Placid. It’s is clean, quiet, safe and reasonably priced. We didn’t get to use many of the amenities because we were out before breakfast. There wasn’t a fire in the fire pit and looked there wasn’t one in a while. The pool had both hot tubs broken. Once fixed the pool would be great. The weight room was small but had the stuff to get in a decent workout if interested. The best part of the hotel was its staff. They were very accommodating and helped us with some issues. Everyone I encountered was very friendly. Overall, I’d 100% stay there again. It was quiet, clean, and safe. There’s a friendly staff, plenty to do and it’s close to everything in Placid.

Pros - Good property located away from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street. The staff was pleasant. Cons - I had booked for a breakfast buffet, but was surprised on arrival at the site that they don’t have one it’s just a la carte. And the front desk could be more prompt & active with the requests like housekeeping.

The hotel was cleanish, idk…there was just something about it that seemed to make it look less than. Maybe lighting or the main carpets. The very front entrance had, without a doubt, the most streaked windows ever. The windows five feet later were spotless. Staff and Bistro were great! Probably a little pricey for what I needed; however, I wanted to have close proximity to food and walking distance to activities. I do wish the room had information on all the great locations located around Lake Placid. I’m not sure I was in a great spot for walking. My planned activities all required driving.

It was nice. The people that operated the Starbucks were nice

We have stayed there many times and things are starting to show age and have not been repaired, they were the same as it was four months ago, no repairs looking for bottom line only

Several common food items not available either in February or June?? Elevator still not working!

My wife and I stayed from Thursday thru Sunday, Thursday was very quiet Friday wasn't to bad but Saturday night was obnoxiously loud from the bar area until at least 2 am I would definitely suggest staying on the 4th floor so this noise is not as much of a issue.
