Courtyard by Marriott Anniston Oxford

The stay was terrible. I ask for 2 rooms they only had 1 room. They heat wasnt working in the room. They brought and small electric heater to the room. Now i have to fight with hotel.com to get a refund on 1 of the rooms because they only had 1 at check in . I wouldnt recommend anyone to stay here.

The receptionist was very polite and helpful in addressing the hotel’s unforced errors during my stay. My first room, which was actually quite nice, had a door that did not lock whatsoever. I could just push open the door as the key card never worked as evidenced with the flashing red light on the door lock. The receptionist came up to verify the faulty lock. This is something that would be hard to overlook by housekeeping. I was then moved to a room on the floor below because they weren’t able to fix the lock of my original room’s door. The second room was smaller, and had no operating exhaust fan. It was so damp that the wallpaper had to be re-glued to the bathroom wall and mildew was growing behind the bathroom artwork’s glass pane. When I experience moisture issues, I become concerned that so many other potential cleanliness issues exist, whether they do or don’t. It’s not becoming of a Marriott property, and I am beginning to wonder what this Titanium status that I’ve been “awarded” actually means.

All carpets dirty and stained in the entire facility. Wall paper pealing in the bathroom. Furniture appeared to have a hard life. Walls were crumbling near the window. This was far from the least expensive room in the area. Quite disappointed.

This is an embarrassment to the courtyard chain definitely won’t be back. Room we booked was having work done put us in a lesser room didn’t adjust the difference corner room very small. No clean towels when asked for towels it was like they were disgusted by it. No maid service for 4 days after repeatedly asking for it. The Marriott should strip this hotel of the courtyard chain it’s a disgrace

Very quiet and clean room. Will stay again next time I pass through.

Rooms were bad and dirty and out dated

Stayed 1 night on business in Anniston. The property is off the interstate and depending on the room, it can be noisy… in fact you can feel the vibration of a large trucks goes by. The property clean and the staff are very friendly. Small gym and the pool was closed but that wasn’t a big deal. They gave me an upgrade to an suite which was nice but the sound of the highway took a bit a bit of getting used to. I was tired and looking for a salad. They didn’t have any as it was “pizza” night but the bartender put together a salad using the pizza ingredient like arugula, tomatoes, peppers etc and some grilled chicken. All in all it was continent and the room was comfortable.

We were staying at this hotel to attend a concert at the BJCC. Therefore, the location was great.
