August 25, 2025 My wife and I chose this location for our 36th anniversary after hearing good things from several other couples. Overall, the hotel itself was beautiful, the restaurants were excellent, and the spa was relaxing (though we requested deep tissue massages and did not receive them as asked). We spent quite a bit of money on-site, dining, and enjoying the amenities. Unfortunately, two major issues left us with a bad impression: 1. Double Charge for Stay – I prepaid through Booking.com and presented my confirmation at check-in. The staff still required my credit card “for security purposes.” At checkout, I was not given a bill, assuming everything was settled. Days later, I discovered an additional charge on my statement from the hotel itself—essentially paying twice. Now I am going through the hassle of disputing the charge and trying to get my money back, which is frustrating and disappointing. 2. Valet Parking Misrepresentation – Upon arrival, we were told valet parking was $27 per day or that we could park down the street for another fee. We chose valet. Later, wow, disputing the bill we were told the valet was $29 per day. Despite what we mentioned to the manager, she reminded us of $29 again. It may sound small, but being quoted one price and billed another feels misleading, especially when combined with the double charge situation. What should have been a wonderful anniversary celebration ended with unnecessary stress. For future guests, I would strongly recommend when leaving your credit card on file, if you’ve prepaid through a third-party at checkout, go through every detail. Keep all receipts and get confirmations in writing. The property is charming, and our anniversary had many good moments, but the billing and honesty issues left a very distasteful feeling for both me and my wife. Sadly, what could have been a perfect stay now feels overshadowed by financial headaches. Anthony and Kathryn

One of my rooms was supposed to be City view but it was not. The only view was the rooftop.

Excellent choice

My wife and I spent a couple of nights at the Battle House Hotel for our anniversary. The staff were fantastic from the valet to the front desk and housekeeping. The history of the hotel hits you the moment you walk in. The lobby is a stunning work of art in its own right. Our room was on the 5th floor in the historic part of the hotel. We had a deluxe king room with a separate shower and soaking tub. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. We had a great view of the sunset and downtown from our room which was lovely. The hotel was very quiet and restful. We went to the top floor where there is a lovely sitting area and even better views of the bay and city. It was such a refreshing place to stay. We plan to come back in the future!

We have stayed at the Battle House hotel on several occasions in the past. This is hands down the best hotel in Mobile. We always request our room in the historical side of the hotel as the hotel as two areas of rooms. You have the historical side and the tower side. In our opinion the historic side is where you want your room. The tower side is a little walk from the front desk and has river views but is located away from the main hotel in the RSA Tower which is an office building. Our room was really nice and we didnt have any issues with our stay.
