Absolutely incredible proud to be from Alabama stepping into this beautiful space. I remember when it was restored, an absolute beautiful gem. The Customer Service was amazing. A brilliant young man greeted us and we knew we were somewhere special. I just ran down the lobby to do a photo of him and thank him..

Hospitality: The front desk staff is welcoming and responds promptly to requests or questions. Accommodations: The 2 queen room itself does not offer spectacular views - parking garage. The carpet and furniture need to be updated. Unavailable Laundry Bags, stained and oily ironing board, broken iron. Cleanliness: First few minutes we found a large leftover pizza crumb under the desk and the toilet looked questionable/stained walls. Housekeeping: friendly and yet it felt neglected. Coffee pods were never refilled after the first day. The sheets were basically thrown back over, the towels feel like cheese graters. Facility: grandiose projection/fatigued furniture and empty/sad feeling. Pool facility is ok. Not enough umbrellas. Lounge chairs look gross. One of the pool attendants (young teen) was curt and borderline aggressive when we omitted to turn in the pool towels after we exited the pool promptly as a result of a threatening storm. The gym is well appointed and serves its purpose. Location is the winning asset of the facility. Close to restaurants.

I am somewhat disappointed in the Battle House. Reserved Sun-Thur, limited guests at Hotel and we are as far from the front desk as possible? Next, there is no parking, its valet for $30 additional per day; service was superb, room was acceptable but subpar for Marriot Bonvoy, the noise level was unacceptable, but we were downtown next to a shipyard, horns blowing, really disturbing.

I enjoyed every part of our stay with the exception that the listing for the room was unclear about the balcony being shared with the other corner room. I would have liked to have known that in advance.

Food was great. Room service was excellent.
