Romantic, lots of restaurants, very nice room, nice staff, amazing hotel

We loved this hotel. It was so beautiful, and the staff was very professional and friendly. It’s about a mile into the city center, but we like to walk, so it wasn’t a problem. Taxis are readily available to those who don’t want to walk. It was nice and peaceful at night, being away from the center of town. Will definitely stay again on our next visit.

American couple from San Francisco, both of Hispanic heritage who have combined the best of both cultures. Impeccable property with absolutely nothing forgotten down to the slightest exquisite details including Egyptian cotton sheets. Each breakfast a culinary treat. Just far enough from the center to be relatively quiet unlike the rest of the city...yet quite walkable or a $2.00 taxi at the end of the day when you don't want to walk back uphill. Cannot recommend too highly. An absolute find.

The room we booked was a junior suite which was spacious and beautiful, the staff was wonderful and worked hard to made our stay a great experience. Our special thanks to Mr. Grana (Hotel Director), Saul at the restaurant and Raymundo (bell boy) for making our stay so memorable.

We came in late from long delays at the airport and the chef stayed late and made us a beautiful meal! Wonderful people! Loved the Villa Maria Cristina!

Beautiful hotel with fantastic service. No detail was left undone. The room was spacious with comfortable beds. The bathroom had a deep, spa tub. The soaps and toiletries were all L'occental. Just delightful! We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and again it was a five star experience. We would love to come back and bring our whole family next time. What a gem!

Hotel was charming, lots of atmosphere, with 5 star facilities throughout. Wonderful restaurant and great spa with an excellent masseuse. Staff was very helpful providing us with a staff member who took us touring throughout this charming town and even provided a car at no cost.

Villa Maria Cristina is a small luxury hotel in a quiet area of Guanajuato within walking distance to the historic center. The property is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and very nice indeed, with extremely comfortable beds. The hotel has a spa and wonderful and large heated pool. The restaurant is located in a beautifully decorated dinning room with the option of dinning on the outdoor patio. The food is outstanding as well as the wine selection. Villa Maria Cristina is definitely a treasure of a hotel with outstanding service and amenities as well. One of the best hotels we have stayed in world-wide. Will definitely return there.
