Puri Lumbung Cottages, Restaurant & Spa

We stayed for 2 nights in cottage 34 which had the most amazing view. The cottage itself was neat and tidy, with daily housekeeping and a restaurant near by with very good food. Found out by random chance that David Bowie stayed here as well! Very helpful arranging transport for us and going to the farmacy. Saw some traditional dancing and cake making, had a massage. Could not have asked for more. Woul definitely recommend, you'll get the real Bali experience here.

Positives: The gorgeous, lush, well-maintained property grounds, the breathtaking views, the traditional Balinese cottages set amongst rice terraces, the daily activities offered by the property (we enjoyed a free Balinese dance performance one night!) the delicious restaurant, the convenient location (just outside the village of Munduk with easy access to walking trails that lead to waterfalls, etc.), the ever-smiling, friendly and helpful staff... basically the entire ambiance of the place is wonderful and unique. Negatives: Since you are living close to nature in places constructed with natural materials you may find a few ants or other tiny insects in your room. It didn't bother us at all as all of the other positives FAR outweighed a few ants crawling around. Just an FYI if that type of thing really bothers you. Overall, it was a super beautiful, unique location that we absolutely loved. Highly recommended!!

Our first stay 4 years ago was really special however sadly disappointed this time. Although the country side was as beautiful as ever it was Expensive, and not the 2 bed cottage I booked through Expedia. Instead we got a small 1 bed with an extra bed squeezed in - and reception staff wouldn’t move us and said they would charge for that extra bed. I couldn’t be bothered arguing as we were only staying the one night. Our waiter was untrained and rude. This time Puri Lumbung lacked in professionalism and you didn’t clearly communicate what we had paid for!!

Worst hotel i have ever been in. You can hear literaly everything trough the walls therefore we didnt get some sleep

Un hôtel très bien tenu, lieux communs et jardins remarquablement entretenus, avec un personnel nombreux et toujours agréable. Excellent petit déjeuner et cuisine soignée et recherchée. Les cottages sont originaux et confortables; un petit réfrigérateur serait apprécié et peut-être un ventilateur également (il n'y a pas de clim, mais on ne peut en faire le reproche car ces cottages sont ouverts sur l'extérieur.

The staff at the cottages were super friendly and helpful. We did a cooking class which was amazing and we recommend. We also signed up for a language course which we enjoyed

Si vous n’avez pas peur des bêtes (chalets au milieu de la forêt) et que vous êtes amateurs de vues imprenables, vous allez adorer. Le restaurant est excellent et le service chaleureux (difficile de manger ailleurs au vu de l’emplacement). Diverses animations avec un spectacle de danses, cérémonie. Un seul regret : isolation phonique.

Sehr schöne Anlage in den Bergen mit netten, gepflegten Holzhäuser und tollen Blick auf Reisfelder und Berge. Aufmersames und hilfsbereites Personal. Empfehlung für eine Auszeit oder ein paar ruhige Tage abseits von Touristenrummel.
