Hotel Casa Colonial

This hotel is amazing. The staff doesn’t speak much English, but we don’t speak any Spanish so we can’t hold it against them. We just google translated everything. The staff is incredibly nice, and they helped set up our transport. With this I mean that we told them where we wanted to go and they told us to relax and the taxi showed up, put our stuff in the back and brought us to the bus stop and made sure we got on the right bus. Rooms are big and very clean, hot water is available. They also gave us bottles of water everyday. Breakfast is very good and the setting is really relaxing. Also they have airconditioning. There were no mosquitos in our room, so that was also nice. The property is gated, so if you want to go in or out, they have to unlock the gate for you. This felt very safe! At night there is always someone present at the front desk. We loved our stay, and so will you!

We always sleep so good here. The beds are amazing, the rooms are dark and quiet. The staff is always super friendly and the location is ideal for us.

Having to wait for someone to unlock the door every time you come or go gets a little daunting. I appreciate the security, and I understand the purpose though.

My room was lovely but was a little stuffy as there were only small windows quite high up so I couldn't open them. I just kept the door open when I could!

When we arrived there was a misunderstanding with the check in and the woman at the front desk was completely rude, so rude in fact that my Nicaraguan wife wanted to leave. however I spoke with the man that was at the desk and we worked it out it wasn't a big problem it just had to do with how she reacted to a misunderstanding. later that evening I want to take the children to swim at the pool and there were chairs all around the swimming pool that they were painting there was laundry hanging across the back View of the pool it was very unkept like they weren't expecting anybody to Be there. Arum had an adjoining room that was not able to be locked very I have pictures if interested

Quaint and quiet

I would have like to see more effort with the flowers and plants in the Arboretum

Staff was super friendly and the breakfast was delicious. El restaurante Haydee around the corner was also very good. The hotel is located in a very good spot for exploring Managua.
