"Disappointed, booked expecting a Spa experience and were extremely disappointed to find out after heading to the pool ar"

I liked that Temple Garden is supposed to be a Spa

There was no Spa experience. Hotel Spa area is undergoing a major renovation. Pool was closed until 6:30 pm. We were not told by the hotel or by Bookings.com that the Spa services were not available. Major disappointment

"The room was very nice."

7.0

Proximity to downtown and the park.

That the spa was under renovations. It would have been nice if you had let us know there was no pool! Main reason we chose to stay at Temple Gardens Mineral Spa. We were a little shocked when we got there and told there was no pool.

"Lovely staff but sad mineral spa was not open!"

6.0

The staff are lovely very helpful. Room was nice upgraded as none of facilities aside restaurant were open. Location is good.

Wasn’t aware the mineral spa was under renovation. Neither booking.com or confirmation included details. I didn’t know until arrival. The staff did their best to accommodate and I felt bad that they likely were dealing with angry people all day. Should have been clearer that facilities weren’t open not fair for frontline staff or customer.

"This was a very special birthday that I brought my daughter to spend at Temple Gardens and unfortunately we will not be"

3.0

The pool was ok but if I knew we couldn’t go outside in the pool I’d not paid full price

I had to speak to supervisor at the pool about staff talking for 45 minutes plus loud about the supervisor in a very negative way and my daughter got upset because it was her birthday to relax and we sat there and listened to that and she went back to our room. We came to relax. We paid to relax the staff was being paid to be here… there were two staff on duty at the pool and obviously an unimpressed staff off duty in the pool very disgruntled with her employment here… the blonde lifeguard on duty was lacking professionalism and had nothing better to do than sit in her chair engaging in vile talk with the off duty employee in the pool. After the supervisor spoke to the on duty staff she snapped at other guests in the pool…

The front desk staff lady was amazing! It honestly was the easiest check-in I've ever experienced! The beds were really comfortable! The pool area was amazing! My cousin went to the spa and she loved it!

The air conditioner definitely was a little lazy lol The lady at the Starbucks store by the pool needs to review her customer service. We asked for three martinis and she rolled her eyes and give a big sigh. There was a table of four beside us that had just said we asked for that too but she said she couldn't do it cuz she didn't have the right cups. So then I said well I don't care what kind of cup it comes in and she rolled her eyes again and give a big sigh once more. So I asked her, is that okay? And then all the sudden she found the Martini glasses. Then she yelled over the room and asked one of the other staff members to help her. The girl that came over to help was amazing and positive and while she was making seven martinis now, the lady that sighed did not even help her at all. When the drinks were completed the other girl had to ask the lady for help to take the martini drinks owed to the people. It was the weirdest thing. Then when we went to throw the plastic glasses in the garbage bin, she said what are you throwing in there and my cousin was kind of shocked and she said the Martini plastic glasses. The lady then started to dig them out and said we reuse those. I don't know if that's an Alberta health code safety issue, but plastic glasses are slightly porous. Anywho, I don't know if that lazy's going through something or if she needed a hug, but she definitely should not be Frontline staff.
