Prachtige kamer met uitzicht op de Etna. Omgeving met avocadobomenen en citroenen rondom.

De drukke weg, lopen naar zee erg gevaarlijk, de plaats niet super aantrekkelijk

Très bon établissement, personnel très agréable. Petit déjeuner très copieux avec beaucoup de produits faits maison.

Chambres un peu défraichies.

It's a very quirky hotel, overlooked by the brooding volcano behind. The atmosphere owes a lot to the history of the site, upcycling and exhibiting machinery and objects used there. There are a variety of room types, and we were in a ground floor room by the pool. The breakfast was continental supplemented by local produce and bakeries, especially the home made jams and yogurts! The pool area was clean and well kept. Plenty of sunbeds and a covered lounge area, with an afternoon pool bar. Giarre itself is a 20 minute walk with a good rail link. The local village is unremarkable with few bars and eateries. It was a good location as a base for exploring Etna and surrounding locations. Having a car or driver, or being part of a travelling group adds to the value of this gem of a hotel.
