Supalai Scenic Bay Resort And Spa

The property had an amazing view of the islands in the Andaman Sea from the balconies. Sunrise was spectacular each morning. The pool was pristine and the breakfast buffet amazing. There were so many options to try and it was completely different the two days we stayed. It was peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely come back.

Place far from other points, to get some interesting places you have to book taxi, staff very friendly, basic style, room clear, to the sea and beach you have to go by car, because it is far from hotel, restaurant average, breakfast ok with a lot of opportunities

This is a beautiful resort with amazing views and great access to the beach. The pools are awesome and the food is good if somewhat a bit pricey for the quantities but as you’re a 40 minute drive from town you’re a bit captive. There’s a little store for buying ice cream and snacks and drinks. There’s a swim up bar at the pool as well. We did not use the spa. The service in the restaurant is a bit disorganized and slow. They don’t seem to be able to track who has come in and when so people that arrive after you will be served first which is not very good. The only real issue is that a beautiful spot like this needs to be maintained to keep it nice. The buildings have black streaking all down the outside walls which could be cleaned with some power washing. The bathroom grouting around the tubs is black and mouldy and not very welcoming. We probably would not stay here again as it’s too far out and the bathroom cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Nothing that a bit of bleach and scrub brush couldn’t fix. Management needs to fix this.

Check-in was efficient and friendly. Had a “Super Deluxe Sea View” room on the second floor. The room was nice and clean with basic amenities plus a bath tube. The view from room was nice even though a higher floor would give even a better view. For some reason there was only 1 socket for plugging in phone etc. in room! Would be great to have at least a few sockets for drawing power and preferably by the bed. The TV channels were not working during the stay. The breakfast was ok with local sortiment of Thai food plus the basic western alternatives but nothing special. The restaurant has a nice terrace with views but after dark there are too many mosquitos to be outside. The service at restaurant is a bit chaotic and can take time to get orders and food even though the staff is friendly and trying their best. The hotel is remotely located on a hill so there aren’t any easy alternatives around for food / dinner. The hotel has a small shop for basic food stuff (water, beer etc). The beach can be accessed by walking down the steep hill. The beach is nice and secluded and has its own pool area plus a view villas. There’s also a small bar serving drinks but not food (would be great to be able to eat something on beach). On low tide the rocks are uncovered and it’s difficult to swim, ie swimming only on high tide and even then would watch out for the rocky bottom. Overall, the sea view from the hillside is definitely the best part of the hotel! The view is amazing and the pool area is also nice – even though there are not many sunbeds and finding a free one in the afternoon is difficult. The hotel building itself seems a bit rundown from outside and in need of a repainting. From inside the rooms however are good quality and clean. As mentioned, the location is remote so without a car / taxi alternatives for dinner are limited to the hotel’s restaurant (plus seemingly one beach restaurant close to hotel). The beach is nice for quiet time and relaxing plus you get exercise walking down/up the hill. Would recommend this for shorter stays for just enjoying the views and nice pool area.

Lovely staff ,lovely pool,great breakfast,nice beach,great scenery, bit out of the way and up a very steep hill but they run a free shuttle bus into town a few times a day. We shed a couple of nights before chartering a yacht at the Ao po marina.great location for a short taxi ride to there.

I love our experience at this hotel, yes the hotel could use some new renovation, but at this price and given the excellent sea view, I'm very satisfied with the experience. My family stayed here for 5 nights.

Prices are expensive. Have to pay alot to travel to the city

We reel like the hotel has to few staff that are not paid enough. Breakfast was not good, the beach is non existentent, so for anybody wanting to spend time on a beach, this is definitely not for you. Very isolated so if you want ro eat elsewhere you will need to take a taxi or rent a bike. Pool area is lovely but the rest of the resort is very tired and in need of some serious maintenance, with what are supposed to be pools at some of the villas full of dirty water and a bredding spot for mosquities which they have a SERIOUS problem with.
