Plaza Grande Hotel

Perfect location in the main square. Large room either a view. Amazing staff. The restaurant of the hotel is also practical and serve local food with enthusiasm.

Great location, amazingly nice staff, the breakfast had very large portions and was tasty. Great views from the balcony. Good place to stay between going to the Galapagos.

The hotel was very well organized and the location was great. But the best part was the excellent staff led by the front desk Manager, Alexander. His personal efforts to assist us made our visit exceptional.

A Saturday night stay was very noisy with music blasting til 2am on the street below or in the square.

The hotel is very beautiful, in a colonial style. Although it is old, it has all the facilities of a five-star hotel. It is located right on Independence Square, next to the Presidential Palace. Right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of all the main attractions of Quito. The staff is very polite.

We stayed at this hotel expecting a 5-star experience, but unfortunately it fell short in several areas. The noise from the street and the corridor made it difficult to rest, and the restaurant was a real disappointment — both breakfast and dinner were simply not up to standard. The staff were genuinely kind and helpful, which was a bright spot, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to make up for the overall experience. We would not recommend this hotel for the price and rating it advertises.
