Dakota Edinburgh

We stayed just one night at the Dakota Edinburgh before flying out the next morning. The room was great, and super-quiet. The bed was really comfortable, and there was enough room to move around. There were nice little touches, like cookies, water, and a place to put my flatiron while doing my hair. We had dinner at the restaurant (there's not much within walking distance to go to), and it was fine, but service was pretty slow. Overall, a really nice stay!

Check in and staff were good. Clean and comfy room

Breakfast was very disappointing. Little fruit, cold eggs.

The building facilities and breakfast were all very good.

The mattress on our bed was completely worn out on both sides of the bed. This mattress should have been replaced long ago.

Property was modern and clean

1st room the tv didn’t work in all fairness this was quickly rectified and the room was changed by the duty manager who was apologetic. The Resturant was expensive for what it was the service was pretty poor the waitress didn’t smile once couldn’t open the wine didn’t clear the starter plates then the main course was put down on top of the previous plates discretionary tip was added and to a bill that was £160 I wouldn’t of been leaving her much to be honest you would be better getting a taxi to miller and carter along the road instead of here

Our pillows a bit firm. Nothing else.

I stay at Dakota Glasgow City regularly and whilst better beds and pillows at Glasgow ( strangely enough ?!) Dakota Edinburgh offers exceptional staff - Chloe , Yohanna, Lewis , George , Brooke , Megan , Zoe , Calum … just to name a few … quite frankly outstanding and whilst very busy restaurant really superb food too . We LOVE this hotel and after 5 night this time can’t wait to return - well done all .

Large room. Modern. Clean. Near airport.

Service was not great at all, staff need to acknowledge guests when they arrive and not ignore them. Food was excellent! Decor was stunning! Beds were so uncomfortable not luxury at all, woke up on day 2 and thought I’d need a wheel chair to get me around that day. Overall a lovely hotel but some fine tuning in areas would make it great!
