Hacienda Puno

Says free wi-fi.....inop 80% of the time and slow when it does works, says free parking.....attempts to charge for it and not open 24hrs, says breakfast included....if any is left when you get there (cold hot dogs & cold eggs, says memory foam mattresses...not true, says "lake view"...barely and is 1/2 mile away. I did note that their credit card machine is high speed and works 24/7, no problems!

I have to preface this review with the fact that we are in Puno, and the options for a great hotel are limited in the centre of town for a decent price. We visited Punu during the Candellaria festival (first weekend). There were plenty of hotel rooms available but many were quite expensive. The Hacienda Punu was a steal at $20 a night (last minute deal) and from that perspective exceeded our expectations. We were on the 4th floor facing the inner courtyard and it was very quiet. The room was very clean, down filled duvet, great bed and pillows. Large bathroom with toiletries and hot water to your hearts content. A safe in the room which needed a bit of tending to but worked well eventually. The breakfast buffet is quite good, probably better than most. The rooms are furnished very basically but there is a table and two chairs, a flatscreen TV with all the channels you could ever want. The front desk staff try to be helpful, but seem a bit disorganized. I am sure if my Spanish was better, this would not be an issue. If I was paying full price, I may not have given the hotel the same review, but I think for Punu, this is as posh as you will get for full price of $80-$100 in high season.

Comfortable, great food, friendly staff, BUT noisey.

La Hacienda was an amazing stay. The matrimonial suite was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The reception desk always had a helpful person available and the door man was always a help with baggage and getting the door. A lovely stay for anyone that is very close to the center plaza and Lima street.

We had a pleasant stay at hotel La Hacianda. The breakfast was very good. Service at the receptio was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Everything is perfect except the mug in the toilet bowl of room No. 316, it should have been cleaned. The toilet seat was not fixed properly.

excellent location, close to restaurant and the main attraction of puno. a few blocks to lake titicaca where the art market is located

Good service and freindly staff, rooms were clean and neat.
