Pretty location close to Wellington Riding Centre

Bed was too small, I had to sleep in the floor one night my husband the next. The room was tiny and the soloing roof meant my husband could only stand up in the middle. I phoned and emailed twice about changing/ upgrading and was told there was nothing. I was also assured the restaurant would be available- it wasn’t. A friend of mine booked after us and said she could have fit 3 people in her bed and she paid far less than us. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but checked out after two. Would not recommend.

Setting, staff, food, social areas.

The bedroom. It spoilt our stay. Tiny room with a double bed against the wall. We had to climb over each other to get in and out. Had to climb on the bed to open the window. The sash windows did not lock, and there was a flat roof outside where other rooms could have accessed our room. This room was NOT classed as a small double. We paid more to have the larger bed. Not worth the money. We would not have booked if we had known the room was like this.

Lovely old property with history. Excellent quiet location with stunning views.

Could do with some minor repairs externally.

The breakfast was reasonable.

3rd time I’ve stayed here. Room was compact but spotlessly clean. Good free WiFi. Super helpful staff. Recommended!
