DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol South - Cadbury House

Beautiful on the outside, average on the inside. The bathroom was dated, bed not overly comfortable and whilst access to the pool & sauna is included, it's very frustrating to not have direct access from the hotel. You have to walk out of the hotel and through the grounds - on a sunny day I'm sure it's fine but not in the winter.

Didnt like we paid for a view but got the car park and trees, only one restaurant open and went to go swimming but were never informed children couldnt go until after 10

When I booked this hotel I had reviewed a number of properties at a similar price. I chose this one based on details of the spa, pool, and photos. On arrival I was disappointed to find the room was in a corridor with a normal door which meant it was quite noisy. The bathroom was small and the shower was into a bath but the shower head was so close to the wall and the water jet so weak that it meant being stood on the curve of the bath almost lent on the wall. I actually slipped due to the closeness of the bath to the wall. When my wife and I went to the spa we found the pool and indoor jacuzzi, sauna and steam room completely inundated. We went to the outside jacuzzi only to find the water temperate was cool and certainly not a hot tub. Giving that up we went for showers in the spa to find again that the water temperature didn’t get anything more than Luke warm. We booked dinner in the Italian restaurant and despite arriving at the booking time and ordering quickly we had to wait for nearly an hour before the food arrived. I had the Steak Frites but although the rest of the food was hot the steak was just about warm enough to eat. It was all quite disappointing. I travel a lot and use a lot of hotels and this was one I wouldn’t use again.

Beautiful place and accommodating staff. Enjoy the spa, I would have loved to stay longer. The only downside was the view from our room, otherwise excellent. Can’t wait to come back here!

Really good value for money. Friendly staff. Had to pay for parking which is a joke and the family room is tiny but other than that it was great

Large hotel near Bristol Airport in reasonable condition.

Stunning hotel looks wise to drive up to, very impressive Parking was easy, but paid Quite a large hotel and difficult to navigate if not stayed there before Room was nice, toilet a bit 'grubby', but not bad Restaurant was cosy, but for food just in the bar was quite high-end and expensive Overall a good hotel and would stay again
