"Four stars???? "

Dinner was a very low standard and overpriced, I returned my main course as it was served on a cold plate and was not hot. Breakfast was a good with a good choice on the menu, I would not recommend this hotel.

"Getaway"

We had a very nice stay there mid Wk.Masks worn at all times and lots of sanitation stations available.Evening meals were very good and good helpings as well.Being a golf resort it’s out in the country but nice to use as a base.

"Nice hotel, lovely staff"

Our trip was fine but overall I would say it is the hotel's staff that sell it. The staff are a credit to it, very friendly and more than helpful. I thought some areas of the hotel were tired looking and could be doing with a refurbishment. The food was just ok, but while we were there the menu never changed not even the daily specials over the three nights, maybe this is down to them trying to save money after the covid closures! I was a little disappointed in the hotel but I would not say I wouldn't go back.

"Ideal for overnight stay"

Very relaxing stay. Covid restrictions midweek meant no dinner but delicious pizza was made on-site and very welcome. (Some noise late at night from rooms downstairs was calmly dealt with by the night Porter Sean.) Superb night’s sleep. Lovely Continental breakfast overlooking the rolling countryside. The staff are all very friendly and efficient- and created a safe environment, adhering to Covid guidelines.

Excellent choice at breakfast . Lovely bar and atmosphere with blazing fire. Helpful staff. Large comfortable room, very clean and felt well looked after. A lovely break.

"Weekend break "

Stayed two nights and nice break after so long. Food was okay but with the new rules they are under pressure to accommodate everyone into time slots for dining. Service at breakfast was a bit hap hazard as we had to ask for toast on two occasions before we finally got it.
