Limerick Strand Hotel

Overall cleanliness of the hotel. Breakfast was good. Bar area is comfortable.

Long wait at reception. Price is on the high side.

Modern fancy with great views of the River Shannon.

The room was too warm and the thermostat unmanageable.

Snow, a lovely young woman, greeted us upon our arrival at The Limerick Strand. We had just arrived in Ireland from the US via England. She was so warm and welcoming. She helped us orient ourselves to the area, giving us some recommendations and a sheet with some discounts. She even came out from behind her desk to help us with the elevator when we hadn't read the sign on how to use the elevators! She was so kind and helpful. But especially thoughtful in making arrangements for everyone in our group to not have to change rooms for our 2 night stay(reservations made under different tours.) She went above and beyond in providing excellent service to me and my group.

We stayed at the Strand Hotel as a party of four sisters on April 10th and 11th. Because of the fuel protest and blockade that weekend, we were incredibly anxious about our travel and had actually cancelled our booking at one point. However, Emma from the booking staff was so reassuring, friendly, and helpful that we decided to go ahead with our trip. We arrived around 4 pm, tired but Snow at the front desk made us feel instantly welcome. The hotel itself is lovely and a very convenient, short walk into the city. On our first night, we dined at the hotel restaurant and were served by Narayan. He was absolutely fantastic—warm, entertaining, and highly attentive and organised. He explained the menu beautifully, the food was delicious, and he completely helped us relax after a tough journey. The service was first-class all around. Narayan, Emma, and Snow are incredible assets to this hotel. We can’t wait to return!
