Limerick Strand Hotel

i have stayed in the strand more than three times and each time their policies change aswell as their attitude! Firstly i paid €300 for an executive room in which i got an accessible room which i didn’t ask for, when i asked to change they had no rooms left. after paying that much money i would expect to get something in return. second stay with them i got charged a €100 deposit which i didnt pay on my first stay, they pick and choose when to make you pay. On my last stay which was for my birthday i had the worst experience in a hotel ever. Starting off i had a family member visit me and wanted to pop into the hotel quickly while i was away, the staff at reception accepted this then 10 minutes into my journey call me back and say the deputy manager will not allow it. I had to drive all the way back to the hotel where i was greeted by a very rude and unhelpful manager speaking over me and talking to rudely. After spending a lot of money on the junior suite you’d expect some sort of hospitality however it was the complete opposite. The story continues where the morning after my partner and i were subject to the same rudeness where blonde and brunette women had came to our door shouting at us to leave the hotel room as it was past check out time, we calmly explained we would pay for late checkout and finally they left, they were acting as if they were trying to intimidate us pointing at their watch being cheeky. This continues downstairs where my partner was checking out and the staff were following her outside the hotel even though they were giving us our deposit back! regardless of that the whole experience was awful and i wouldn’t recommend anyone staying unless you want to be subject to poor management and service. 0 stars!

Myself, my wife and toddler stayed here for a weekend recently and the whole experience from start to finish was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay very memorable, especially Antonio in reception. The room was beautiful and spacious and a cot was ready and waiting for our toddler who also approved of the room! Great view from the balcony too. The food was fantastic, from the superb buffet breakfast to the scrumptious dinner at the River restaurant. Overall, it was a stay to remember and we'll definitely be back. There's also discounts to a load of local attractions and they're well worth visiting. This hotel is highly recommended.

Beautiful meal. Sunil and Nayaran were excellent, so welcoming and kind. We enjoyed every minute and will be back x
