We stayed for one night while attending a concert at King John’s Castle, and overall we had a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were made feel very welcome. The wonderful Snow checked us in and looked after us superbly throughout our stay. Impressively, Snow remembered me from a previous stay at a different hotel a number of years ago. The hotel is ideally located, and our room had a lovely view overlooking the Shannon. We also dined in the restaurant, where the food was excellent and the staff were very attentive.

It was lovely and great if going to a concert in Kings Johns castle.

When we went to the residents bar and we had 2 drinks then staff told my husband cocktails weren’t being served anymore at 11.30 ish and just wines or beers etc but then the bar staff served other customers cocktails. It was very annoying to be honest. I wouldn’t use the residents again.

Complimentary upgrade on our room..The room was insane. Was my partners birthday and he was so impressed.

The bartenders in the bar/restaurant hadn't got a clue what they were doing. Couldn't make a basic cocktail or pull a pint. Half the pint went into the waste and what was handed to me needed a flake 🙈🙈

Excellent location. Clean rooms and very kind helpful staff. Parking is very convenient. River Restaurant is quite good.

Rooms need renovation. But they are kept clean so overall comfortable.
