Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort - Adults Only

Staff were outstanding! Beautiful location. Great facilities

We found the food ok but not amazing. We may just be fussy though others there loved it. Breakfast and lunch were good.

We had a fantastic stay for 6 nights at Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island resort. We stayed in an overwater bungalow and we enjoyed the beautiful island of Aitutaki. However, what really made our stay incredible was the staff of the resort. Jerry, the manager, was so welcoming, always making sure we were taken care of and helped. Luke, Rose, and Mare always looked after us during the breakfast buffet and during meals and anytime we needed help. Titi and K who organize the activities on the resort were amazing too. We got to do fish feeding and palm leaf fan making with them and it was so fun! That was one of the highlights of our trip for sure. Kula and Shannon at the front desk helped us book various tours and spa appointments, and were so helpful with navigating the bookings. Eta and Laisani took care of housekeeping for our unit and it was pristine every time!! The evening turn down service was extra special and really made us feel like we were on a special getaway. Angele Ting and the rest of the chefs made wonderful meals! There were plenty of options for the 6 nights that we were there that we didn’t have to repeat food which was amazing. Plus they are so helpful with special requests anytime you ask. One night, the power went out during dinner (went out for the whole island and was out of their control), and they still managed to make it work and fed everybody sandwiches and fruit and more. Nobody went hungry that night which was amazing. One thing that the resort ownership needs to do is provide power backups for the resort (using solar power which can be there in plenty!). That way the staff wouldn’t have to struggle and provide for everyone without electricity when these things happen. Illy was so so helpful throughout our stay as well. She makes wonderful drinks, but also has the best hospitality! When my partner was feeling sick with a bit of a cold, she helped her with a lemon ginger tea that helped immensely. Plus she looked after us when we missed the buffet breakfast one morning and provided us a full spread to eat! Illy was incredible and is a great friend. We really loved our stay on the resort. It was truly the relaxing holiday vacation that we were dreaming of.

A most enjoyable holiday at the magnificent Aitutaki private island lagoon resort. Outstanding views, and the staff are so helpful especially Jerry, Luke, Noci, Illy, Mere and Rose. So much fun kayaking, cycling, stand up paddle boarding and snorkeling right off the beach. A very private and beautiful spot to holiday.

If you are looking for a peaceful location to completely unwind and relax, this is it. The setting is incredibly quiet and idyllic, but what truly sets this place apart is the team. The staff are exceptionally friendly, highly professional, and deeply competent. A massive shoutout to Luke, Jerry, Illy, Rose, and Terry—they consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. Highly recommended!

The stay was unacceptable. The accommodation was generally very dirty, which is clearly visible in the photos. There were ants in the bed, we could not leave our suitcases open because they were also infested, and even the coffee station was covered in ants. In addition, rain was coming into the bungalow, and instead of offering a proper solution, we were only given three towels to place on the floor. The windows also did not close properly. What was especially disappointing was that we raised these issues, which ultimately led to our early departure, without ever receiving a real apology or solution. Instead, we were simply asked to fill out a form for management because, according to Rena at the front desk, the issue was supposedly already known and renovations were apparently planned anyway, which would only provide management with further arguments. For a resort of this kind, that was absolutely unacceptable and at best corresponds to a 3-star hotel — if that. Kay, Jerry, and Illy were very friendly, and the lagoon is beautiful. Otherwise, however, the resort is not recommended at all.

Absolutely stunning location, very special feel with luxury touches

It is the most beautiful place on earth. The lagoon has amazing turquoise colours, aqua marine, blues, emerald and change with the weather. The water is clear and cool just right for swimming and snorkelling. The private island resort is world class with warm and accommodating staff. The whole island is spotless and scenic with beautiful views of the lagoon and wonderful tropical vegetation.

The resort has an adult only policy which is a tad selfish if you're looking for a family vacation.

All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly . The beachfront bungalows were very comfortable with great views and approach to the beach ,in front of the bungalow. The food was good and plentiful. You can certainly share plates .

We had a great time here. Big thanks to Jerry, Teri, Mere, Rose, Illy and Luke for their wonderful hospitality. Sunhil does great omelettes in the morning! And I have unfortunately have forgotten her name but the staff member who ran the crab racing on Thursday night was excellent, so so kind and funny! Also thanks to the “less seen” staff looking after the gardens, driving the boats and vans, welcoming guests at the airport, and cleaning the rooms - all staff very welcoming and the facilities were immaculate
