Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort - Adults Only

Great week here for our wedding anniversary. Ryan and I enjoyed our stay. All the staff were great especially Nocy as well as Luke. There was another Fijian lady in the restaurant however I cannot remember her name. It would be great if the show night had a different menu/ island buffet. The rooms, grounds, activities were all wonderful and can’t wait to come back again. Meitaki!

My wife and I travelled to Rarotonga and added Aitutaki to our itinerary last minute. It is hard to describe the beauty of Aitutaki. It is next level. The resort has brand new amenities, every room has its own outside shower, own bikes, paddle boards, snorkelling gear and kayaks. The food is sensational. We had cocktails every afternoon before tucking into tasty entree’s and then a good range of dinners to select from. But, the best part we loved were their staff. Not one or two staff, all staff. Their hospitality was outstanding. The pure quality of their hospitality was amazing, they truly do care, they want you to have the best visit and relaxed time with them.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. Best place to stay for a nice quiet getaway.

We were absolutely blown away from the moment we landed in Aitutaki. We were met at the airport and transferred to the ferry before we rode across the lagoon to paradise. The resort is just beautiful. Everything we could possibly need is taken care of. The food was amazing! The amenities were perfect. The location was idyllic. The staff were all phenomenal! Special thanks to Nocy, Luke, Titi & Jerry for making our stay so special. We have felt like celebrities for our whole stay and are so grateful for the resort and everyone here. We will be back!

Location is insane. Best spot on the island. Staff were incredible. Food was good for the pacific islands.

Like all pacific resorts the facicilites were a bit dated but beautiful.

From the time we were met at the airport til the time we left, we were treated with the warmest hospitality imaginable. The rooms were perfect, the food was delicious and the facilities were excellent. Everyone from the reception staff to the cleaning staff was so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful experience. A special thank you to Luke for his exceptional service.

We dont normally leave reviews - this year we went on a once in a lifetime trip down to New Zealand and then out to the The cook islands. We have travelled extensively and know what is value. I am amazed how highly rated this resort is by people who visited it. What i would say is this - if you are getting it at say 3000 NZ or less for 7 nights then you might just accept it. First and foremost i agree with some other peoples views - This is not a 5 star resort or anywhere near it. At best in European or American standards it is a low 4 star. What i will say is the staff are 5 star and the views of the lagoon are 5 star. Everything else lets the resort down. We were aware that the islands are very very isolated but there is no excuse for outside shower dripping instead of a proper flow. Air Con not great, Food very very average - breakfast was tasteless, cleaning of room was very very basic - Our cottage very very dated. The only sure thing is one day a world wide hotel brand will come in and make this resort what is should be - As stated before only for the staff this could have been a disaster week for us. And it was not cheap in any format. Special thanks to Luke, Mary and all the restaurant staff. They really were top class. Please take our advice and make necessary changes over the near future to make this resort a real piece of paradise.
