Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort - Adults Only

We booked the overwater bungalow for our last 2 nights on Aitutaki Transfer from old resort to this one: 9/10. Our driver was on time, brought us to the boat transfer and brought our luggage to the island afterwards. Check in: 6/10. It was disorganized: we were told to sit here, then there. We were told repeatedly that we would get an orientation. We received cold facecloths which were appreciated and a coconut water drink. The orientation consisted of me filling up paperwork. We were not told where things were or provided any other information about the resort. My partner had walked around and found the restaurant and the pool. We were told that our room was available early, of which we were very appreciative. And we were driven in a golf cart, our luggage having already arrived. The room: 10/10 paradise! Very clean and spacious. The balcony is very wide with 2 long chairs plus a table with 2 regular chairs. Double sinks in the bathroom and a private outdoor shower. A Kayak is attached to our balcony and we have snorkel equipment in the bathroom. Very comfortable bed. There is also a sitting area in the bedroom area. Lots of space to put both large suitcases and carryons. The restaurant: 10/10 the food was delicious. Upon arrival we had the club sandwich with fries. Very good sandwich with real piece of chicken. For dinner we had the catch of the day, baby back pork ribs. The portions were a bit on the small side (1/2 of a cup of mashed potatoes is a tease! but great presentation!) Complimentary breakfast: 10/10 this was amazing. A lot of variety of food, all delicious. Scrambled eggs, roasted potato pieces with mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, sausage, cheese, amazing eggplant Fiji style, many types of bread and 2 types of cheeses, fresh fruit, yoghurt, a variety of cereals and great coffee! Poor wifi. We couldn't do our declarations for NZ online. Checkout: very easy! Out of room by 10 am. The staff came and picked up our luggage from our room and transported it to the airport for us.

I wish I could give this resort more than 5 stars. The location, rooms, vibes, staff, food, atmosphere, customer service, everything was above and beyond my very high expectations. Everything was clean, the entertainment and food was impressive, the excursion suggestions created even more great memories, the staff all knew each Guest by name within hours of being there! I will recommend this resort to everyone and will return as many times as I can. I also want to express an extra thank you to Roneel, Luke, Nocy, Tava, Titi, and the supervisor of housekeeping (I'm sorry I didn't get your name). You guys made our stay so memorable with the excellent service, attention to detail, remembering our favorites, listening to and sharing stories, joking, taking pictures, singing to my daughter on her birthday, I could go on and on. THANK YOU!!!

Amazing place. Views out of this world from our bungalow. Thanks to Nocy, Teri and Luke for the amazing hospitality and making us feel very welcome. The resort is beautiful and has a high standard. Small suggested improvements would be fans in the main building as was very hot when we were there and some more music to liven up the bar area after dinner. Would highly reccomend this place to anyone to visit. Its a once in a lifetime experience.

What a beautiful place for a beach vacation! The Aitutaki Lagoon is stunning and the resort offers different ways to enjoy it. Each bungalow or villa comes with bicycles, kayaks, and a stand-up paddle board. We used a kayak and the bikes and all were in good condition. The resort is situated on its own island just a 2-minute boat ride from the main island and the boat is available from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, which makes it easy to bike around Aitutaki or try different restaurants. Our beachfront bungalow was roomy and comfortable, with a king size bed, sitting area, nice veranda and loungers both on the veranda and the beach. The two dining areas are open-air with lovely views. We tried fish, beef, and vegetarian dishes and all were very good. The staff are all welcoming and gracious, and by the time our five day stay ended many of them knew our names. It’s a small, adults-only resort with a serene and laid-back vibe, so if that appeals to you, check it out.

Where do I even start!! The property was breathtaking, the staff were incredible and made us feel like they've been our friends for life. Very very cool resort. The lagoon was absolutely unreal.
