Beautiful building and the whole ambience was great

I loved the property grounds and the room was beautiful, great walking score, food was very good, and all of the staff was incredible

When we checked into the room it smelled horribly of marijuana, my gf realized our adjoining room doors had been left unlocked on both sides (major major safety issue), there was a clicking sound at night that sounded like a shutter smacking the window all night long or a pipe banging. It was basically impossible to sleep through. The pillows were horrid, although the bed was comfortable. No amenities is a real shame. We also asked for early check in and they texted me at 3:58 instead of 4 like they did me some kind of favor. The eggs Benedict was bland at best, but we didn’t pay for it so it is what it is.

Room and hotel were cozy and comfortable. However there was no one at reception at night, and we really needed them. Enjoyed the food, but it made us sick, unfortunately. And we could find no one to guide us where to find a soda or meds for indigestion. Had to drive to another hotel to talk to someone at reception. Nothing is open at night in Solvang.

Solvang is a great city to visit with kids. We booked a 2 night stay in their deluxe king room. The hotel has been updated about 10 years ago and although decor is nice there were several things that made our stay less enjoyable. It’s January, it was cold, so we did end up spending more time in the room than we would have had it been summer. The bathroom had no window and no vent, so when someone used the toilet or showered there was no way of dehumidifying nor deodorizing the space. No windows in the room opened which gave it a claustrophobic feeling and the deluxe room we booked had no balcony, so much of it felt like a hospital room, except hospital restrooms have vents. The beds did not have fitted sheets, instead it was a flat sheet just covering the mattress which was not even tucked in so that felt very uncomfortable when it bunched up throughout the night. Aside from the room, we enjoyed dining at Mad+vin, the restaurant inside the hotel. The food was great compared to other choices in the area.

This is a beautiful hotel. I appreciated the coziness of the lobby; it was a friendly environment where folks were eating and drinking and spending time. The outdoor courtyards were cute too - the firepits and chairs were inviting for conversation and wine. The room was clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. This hotel is in the heart of Solvang and has easy access to the whole town. This hotel was recommended to me and I happily pass on the rec to you!

Very convenient location and very clean. Friendly staff from housekeeper to front desk. I liked the smell when I entered the property no musty smell like other boutique hotels. Overall, we like this place, its minimalist decor and atmosphere.

Wasn’t able to sleep good because of the pillows. Not so good pillows!
