Hotel Lomas del Volcán

We loved this hotel, rooms were clean and modern. Beautiful view of the volcano, restaurant had beautiful views of the greenery all around! We loved the spa experience here, with nature all around you. Will definitely love to be back!

Really enjoyed our stay here over New Year. The staff were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and very private with wonderful views from the balcony. The food was excellent, lots of choice at breakfast and good quality evening meals, including wood fired pizza. Loved the morning yoga. I can't fault it at all. Thank you

Loved the individual casitas and beautifully landscaped grounds! We brought together 3 generations of family and everyone was very pleased with the experience…food, accommodations, facilities, and amazing grounds.

We LOVED this hotel. The rooms were perfect, we loved the private jacuzzi. The dehumidifiers was a great touch to avoid the “damp” feeling. The pool was nice and warm and had the best swim up bar. Breakfast buffet was amazing, lots of options, delicious breakfast pastries and deserts too! We loved the restaurant staff, Manrique was excellent and we enjoyed seeing him there each morning. Loved that they had a hiking trail on site. The hotel didn’t feel overcrowded or empty, so felt very comfortable. The food at the casual bar was exceptionally good, we think it had the best ceviche we had on our whole 10 day Costa Rica trip!!! All the staff was so friendly and kind, 10/10 reccomend and would definitely stay again!

Fantastic experience! The best breakfast buffet imaginable. The staff were wonderful and accommodating, the views of the volcano were spectacular. Our cabin was clean and quiet with a lovely, private patio. We enjoyed the on-site hiking trail, heated pool, jacuzzi, and swim up bar. Wish we could’ve tried the yoga classes or spa. Next time!

We had three nights here and couldn’t think of a better place to stay in La fortuna. This hotel is nicely situated about a 1km off the main road and away from the main town areas which is quite nice as it feels very private but is also only a 5 min uber or taxi to La fortuna. The hotel rooms were fantastic and well kept. The highlight for us was the pool area. It was so relaxing on a hot day with stunning views of the volcano. The food here was also spot on along with brilliant service from all the staff.

This hotel was fantastic. It's location is perfect. There is a wonderful view from the front veranda of Vulcan Arenal. Rooms very spacious and clean. ALL staff were super friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Muchas gracias to all.

Beautiful grounds. Comfortable bed and friendly staff. Easy check in and great buffet breakfast included. Convenient location to La Fortuna and local restaurants.

Located just outside of La Fortuna, Hotel Lomas del Volcan was perfect for touring the area. We day hiked the Arenal & Tenorio volcanoes with beautiful scenery, saw abundant wildlife at the Misto Park hanging bridges, and spent a relaxing evening at the Ecotermales hot springs. After a day of touring, we were able to relax in our private bungalow room that was surrounded by forest where we were able to spot a few howler monkeys. The amenities at the resort were great. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful bungalow accommodation in immaculate grounds with views to Arenal volcano. We had two balconies. Large room with safe and tea/coffee making facilities. Tea and coffeee replenished. All the staff were amazing and helpful. A special mention for Andres and Julian in the bar who are friendly, excellent cocktail makers and look after there customers. The buffet breakfast was excellent both in choice and quality. It had the widest range of dishes of any of the hotels we stayed in. There is also the Congos trail accessed from the hotel ground into the forest. It is a little steep in parts and you have to be aware of tree roots, but we did see Howler monkeys when walking the trail. You can take trips to Arenal volcano and La Fortuna waterfall, relatively easily from the hotel.
