The location

They overcharged us and made up excuses for not returning the money owed to us. I am very unhappy about their customer service. There is only 1 trash can in the room and no box of kleenex. It is like staying in a homeless shelter.

The room, bedding, and towels were clean and the location is great for getting around Livingston. The AC worked great.

The "Superstart" breakfast was just waffles and cereal and juice, nothing else offered. The coffee and "hot" water were luke warm. Our room only had one very small trash can, which we filled our first night and was not changed for our 2 night, 3 day stay. Our TV stopped working our first morning, which I reported to the front desk, but no one came to fix it, so I fixed it myself. It seemed very hard for the staff to talk to us. We had no ice bucket in our room, but that didn't really matter as the ice machine was broken for our whole stay, also. Overall, this place was very bare bones and not worth the money we paid to stay there in comparison to other Super 8s, let alone other hotels.

The man at the front desk when I checked in was somewhat short with me when I checked in. The room had a bad smell to it.

The room had a terrible smell upon entry like stale old cigarettes and wet dog. It then progressed to wafts of cat urine at times. I had brought a small fan with me. I had to go to the store and buy highly scented soaps to place in front of the fan to reduce the terrible smell. I didn't ask for a new room because the rest of them probably smelled just as terrible. Dead bugs were found on the window, crumbs on the floor and the towel rack fell down just by placing a towel on it. The guy at the front desk said the washer and dryer were broken and unable to be used. The ice machine did not work. Also, the same front desk guy was seen folding towels and sheets which were literally mounded 5 feet in the air and highly visible from the entry. Maybe if I had paid 150 dollars for the two nights I wouldn't be complaining as much, but over 575 dollars for this shithole was a complete rip off.

Location was good for our travel needs. Rooms were clean, but average

Breakfast was basic. Started an hour later than the signage stated. Stayed at a few Super 8's and lots more breakfast options Coffee, juice, toast, cereal only Staff answered our questions etc but lacked personality
