Hotel Riu Tikida Beach - Adults Only - All inclusive

The hotel is fabulous bedrooms large nice big comfy beds.shower big plenty of room separated toilet which was good large TV could not fault it balcony great with large palm tree's makes you think your in a jungle birds singing great food best iv ever tasted the beef just melted in your mouth staff great it's like they know when you need anything.pool staff and pool bar great really look after you the inside of the hotel is very colonial beautiful so clean I'd go back iv told friends how great it was . .

Stayed at this hotel for a week and it was not long enough! Everything was amazing. Staff super friendly and helpful, plenty entertainment, huge variety of food, very clean hotel. We always managed to get sun beds even if we were late up. Although it says no reserving them people still did. Only thing is we got lost a few times trying to find our way around the hotel, but we never met with our rep so maybe we should have! All round amazing stay though :)

We stayed at this hotel for a weeks break. The hotel is very clean and well maintained in both the rooms and the communal areas. The staff were also very friendly and couldn’t do more to help. The rooms were a strange setup as 2 single beds with single bed sets pushed together. My only gripe would be the quality of the food. Although it was nice, it could have been better, although I did like the way the lunch was arranged with the snack bar.

The food was the worst I have had in any hotel. I am a fussy eater but my partner who will eat anything basically ate salad the whole time. I had soup at lunch but very little else. The few times I did try to eat the food the fattiness gave me an upset stomach. I am 70 but felt young if not in years but attitude. To me it was more like a nursing home than a hotel. The entertainment was geared to the elderly. Bingo, bingo and more bingo, which many enjoy, unfortunately I don't. The hotel was spotlessly clean and staff friendly.

Great Hotel Staff all very friendly Entertainment team are so enthusiastic and allways around to encourage you to join in with the fun and games. Evening Entertainment was very good. Rooms clean and comfortable and the bonus of a full sea view room, it was stunning room 137 highly recommend.. Thankyou, myself and my Family had a restful and fun 11 days.

For a cheap all inclusive holiday the Tikida Beach doesn’t disappoint. The staff make your stay as good as a possible and while tipping is recommended, if you choose not to, your stay wouldn’t be adversely effected. Some of the room are being refreshed so there were some noise late afternoon in rooms close but nothing could be heard form other parts of the hotel. Pool, food, dinning areas can’t be faulted but if you want a sun bed you have to get up early. Staff will do there best to help out and accommodate late risers. I will definitely book again. TUI rep’s are amazing.

Excellent on every level. Good location. Good food. Three restaurants. Two pools. Lovely bedrooms. Family friendly. Staff super polite and helpful. Right on the beach. Short drive to city. Can't fault it. Had great holiday here... Ten out of ten

The room was never cleaned in the 2 weeks we were there, only made our bed and gave new towels, Air con didn't go cold because the hotel refused to turn it down on 5 requests, saying it wasn't hot enough outside ( 37 degrees) cockroaches constantly in our room ( excuse from tui rep was because we were lower floor) when others above us had the same issues, food everyday was the same as previous days and never hot only Luke warm, only get drinks to your tables by the waiting staff if u tip every day and they reserve certain tables for their French customers, had to get up at 5 every morning just to get a sunbed because if not they are all reserved and some weren't sat in all day, Swim up bar was a waste of time as the bar staff spent more time at the other bar chatting to their colleagues and they didn't serve beer either just warm soft drinks and warm cocktails which aren't refrigerated, This is by far the worst riu hotel we have ever stayed at and I would avoid staying there, Definitely not worth the money and ruined our 20 year wedding anniversary,

This is a recollection of our experience at the hotel, and is not intended to contradict or counter that of others who may have differing views. The hotel presents well on arrival with a large foyer area which encompasses reception, a boutique, various lounge seating, reps desk and a small book collection. The overall condition of the hotel is good, but a few areas are a little tired and in need of updating. There are two main restaurants plus a snack bar that operate through the day. With an additional two specialty restaurants available for dinner service, these are bookable once per stay. The buffet restaurant is on the small side and food choice is somewhat limited. Anyone here for two weeks will certainly see a lot of repetition. Quality of the food is just acceptable. Be careful not to sit in someone’s seat, if the waiters are good at anything it’s saving seats for those willing to pay. On one occasion we were asked to move as the table was taken, which it wasn’t when we arrived! Staff are cheerful and happy to help on the whole, with just a handful of bad eggs who would probably be happier working somewhere else. Service on the other hand is at best mediocre, with almost everything either running late or disorganised ie a snack bar that opens at 12pm but some of the hot food not ready until 12.30pm, a pool bar that should be open at 10am but most days it is nearer 11am, there are more examples but that’s the jist of it. Rooms are a generous size, and clean. The air conditioning in our room was absolutely abysmal, with the controller set as low as possible the room temperature never dropped below 25oC day and night. This was reported 4 times in the first week and nothing changed. We did eventually move to another room which fared slightly better, but still didn’t get below 22oC. We found sleeping difficult. There are two pools 1 large and 1 small, with the larger one encompassing a pool bar. Bar service around the pool area is good. Overall this is a good hotel let down by poor/weak management. They will apologise profusely at the front desk, but not address the problem. Supervisory staff just condone the poor service.

Hotel itself is nice enough, the staff have been excellent. Small tips for staff required, but they do look after you, regardless. Rooms were fine, clean, but beds were hard. Sun loungers need updating, they are not comfortable. Drinks were average, beer not the best. All in all, we had a nice holiday, but a week was long enough. Beware of getting an upset stomach!!
