Hotel Riu Tikida Beach - Adults Only - All inclusive

I did get nervous reading some of the negative reviews, but was almost like they were staying at a different hotel, apart from a few glasses left by the pool first thing was very clean. Our room was spacious and immaculately clean. We only stayed four nights but I had no sign of getting bored with the food, Think I preferred the lunch service. Staff very friendly and didn't feel obliged to constantly tip. Sorry forgot the gentleman who looked after us for lunch, but his area was the patio by the promenade at lunch excellent service. Nice touch plenty of water (and wine available). All staff from check-in to check out were friendly and helpful, wonderful stay.

Ignore the negative reviews – this hotel is a gem! I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy some incredible 5-star holidays over the years, but I have to say this hotel truly stands out. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after – nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely lovely, with plenty of variety, and the wine was just fabulous. The entertainment was top-class every evening – engaging, professional, and so much fun. This place has such a warm, friendly atmosphere, and I honestly wouldn’t hesitate to come back. A perfect holiday from start to finish!

We have just returned from 11 nights at this wonderful hotel in this beautiful country. The room was immaculate in a very quiet part of the hotel overlooking the pool. Cleaned every day with fresh towels. Beautiful, clean pool which wasn’t cold and comfortable to go into. Swim up bar with a lovely, smiling staff member serving you range of drinks and cocktails. Plenty of sunbeds and day beds available. Area around the pool and beds cleaned daily. Beds have pillows which makes them comfortable to lie on. Plenty of umbrellas available. Clean pool towels available daily. The breakfast restaurant is open early with a range of hot and cold options. Various teas and coffees from the machine/ in pots or coffee jars with hot water. Staff will make fresh eggs to how you like them if you ask. Lunchtime- there are two places to eat either the snack bar where you can eat outside or take to your sunbed. Pizza, nuggets, fries, crepe’s etc. There is also the buffet restaurant overlooking the beach. Great and varied range of food available. Open kitchen behind the hot plates. This opens from 12. Relaxed and not rushed or busy at the time. The snack bar is open til 6pm if you feel peckish late afternoon. Evening meal. You have 3 options. The buffet ( same place as breakfast) this opens at 6.30pm or the Moroccan or international restaurant. Again in the buffet there is plenty of options available. We booked the Moroccan and international on the RIU app. What can I say from the reception staff, the cleaners, the waiters and waitresses in all buffets and restaurants are super helpful, friendly and approachable and make you feel like family. The staff around the pool are amazing too. Everybody greets you with a smile and a hello and asks you how your holiday is, how was your sleep. The staff in all the restaurants were fabulous and treated us like family. All staff ( I can’t remember everyone’s names) regardless of their role work extremely hard to keep the hotel running and make our holiday memorable. The guests were equally wonderful. Guests ages ranged from early 20’s to late 70’s from all corners of the world. We chatted to anyone and everyone and we didn’t meet one person who wasnt friendly. Morocco is wonderful we went out and seen the country too which was amazing. Obviously we will be back. The staff, the hotel, the country, the locals and the guests made our holiday fabulous. The most relaxed place we have ever visited and we have travelled a lot.

Not 4 star rooms. Bathroom very grotty. Food was great, lots of choice, however the a la carte not nice at all in terms of food and atmosphere. Service was good though. Stick to the buffet which is much better quality with great service. Disappointing that nothing was done about sunbeds being reserved and literally left all morning/day without use. We understand this over meal times, but more than 2 hours and towels should be removed so others can use the beds. Private beach not nice and we expected much better. Entertainment was probably the worst we've seen in adult only hotel. We did have a nice holiday and met some great people but would not return for the reasons above.

Beautiful hotel well looked after and maintained. The staff are amazing and happy to help you when needed. Lots of food choices. Son fussy eater was able to find something every meal. Rooms were comfortable but I would say they need to update the sofa beds son is 6ft and found it very uncomfortable. The Tiu staff was very helpful we enjoyed two excursions would recommend the quad bikes Sunset. Also, use the spa area and have a treatment massage was very relaxing. Enjoyed taking part in the morning yoga and relaxation classes and lots of fun Aqua sports.

This is my completely honest and personal review. Pros - - Hotel is beautiful in general. First time at a RIU and it has not disappointed in terms of the ‘wow’ factor. - Hotel cleanliness is fantastic. The hotel always looks spotless. - Hotel rooms are also beautiful and clean! We had a walk through hallway with a toilet room, separate shower room (which was big and roomy) and a large bedroom area with sofa. We also had a lovely big terrace/balcony area overlooking the pool. The best hotel room I have ever stayed in I have to say! - The TUI reps make the holiday!! Big shout out to Isabelle, Sadique, Sara and Laura (who popped over from a Marrakesh branch) for being super friendly, super knowledgeable and who kept us entertained for the whole holiday. Such a laugh and lots of fun with you all - thank you! - The majority of staff in general were also super friendly and attentive. - Water and cans of fizzy drinks (sprite, fanta, coca cola) are provided in your room with no extra charge and will be replenished as and when needed. - The beach is across the promenade from the hotel so very close by (we didn’t use it personally) Cons - - Drinks. Major let down in all honesty. This is an adults only, all inclusive hotel, with TUI. We expected a lot more. I was convinced the lack of choice was because we were in Morocco (a predominantly Muslim country) but when we went to check out the ‘on-site nightclub’, the options were much better. But chargeable of course. Part of me thinks this is deliberate, to make you spend money locally (which we still do!) but when they don’t even offer things like a local Baileys on the menu at the hotel but can offer it next door - very strange. The quality of drinks at the hotel as well isn’t great either. - Food - not great overall, especially for people with food allergies (coeliac/nut/peanut allergies with us). Not much choice at all. The only saving grace here was speaking to the head chefs at each service, who were helpful and offered us a couple of safer choices with no issues at all. It could get repetitive though if you are spending longer than a week here. If you can eat ‘everything’, then the choice is slightly better - but still not great. - Entertainment - very very hit and miss. As said before, the TUI reps are amazing but the local entertainment in the hotel is so so. Nothing great in my opinion. Also lacking atmosphere by the pool for most of the day for us - just very quiet spa type music if that is your thing (we like things a little more lively) - Local area - lots of people trying to hassle you on the streets to buy things (though we found by just saying ‘no thank you’ most would leave you to carry on). It is also quite a walk away to the main marina area (though there are some shops closer by). Overall, I thought giving 3 stars would have been a bit harsh as we are glad we came here and have mostly enjoyed our stay. I just don’t think I would be in a rush to come back.

We went as a family of 3. 2 adults and an almost two year old. The hotel was lovely communal areas always immaculate and large. Our room was very spacious and cleaned daily. The air con was fine for us but it was not ridiculously hot during the night when we stayed. My only slight is the beds are so hard (may be personal preference) but they did my dodgy hip no good at all. The staff in all areas from security to cleaning were exceptionally friendly and doted on our little one. Could not do enough to help and always had a smile and a hello. The pool is fantastic though the baby splash pool is in the Ruiland area with no beds and closed off, luckily the main pools have shallow areas for little people to play in which our daughter loved. There is an issue with sun bed reserving, we went down around 9:30/10 every morning and where able to find good beds although as the hotel was starting to get busier we noticed this more and more. Like others commented some of these reserved sun beds were not used until at least midday. Food was good enough, not huge amount of options but we always found something to eat even with a toddler. We did not tip throughout our stay but in the evening you could tell those who do as their table was already reserved and had drinks ready and waiting for them. All in all great stay. Just a note of warning, over the summer months the mornings are quite grey with sea mist but this usually burns off by 11. Take a like top for breakfasts outside as can get a little chilly.

Loved tge whole experience. The staff couldn't do enough for us. People have complained at tge sea mist, this was not a issue at all. The mist as was mentioned was high giving a slight haze with the sun burning through. This was mainly in the morning. However the temperature quickly rose before 10am. We would highly recommend.
