Hotel Riu Tikida Beach - Adults Only - All inclusive

Positives: We had a lovely, relaxing 10-day stay. The location of the hotel is absolutely fabulous — right on the beachfront with a promenade perfect for daily walks. The maid was exceptional: friendly, thorough, and excellent at cleaning and restocking the room. Hotel reception staff were also very helpful and quick to resolve any issues. Room 97 (ground floor, directly on the beachfront) was the ideal location with a private balcony and sun loungers — a real highlight. The public areas of the hotel are impressive, and it was lovely to relax in the main bar or entertainment area. The hotel grounds are immaculate and cleaned regularly. The gym facilities are excellent. Negatives: On arrival, we were allocated room 121, which had no balcony or terrace (despite paying for one) and had a strong, unpleasant smell. After raising this with reception, we were moved the next day to room 97 — which we were very happy with overall. However, even this room had a damp smell, visible damp on the ceiling, and was in need of updating. The minibar smelled dreadful and had to be requested to be replenished twice, as this wasn’t done routinely. The shower water was cold after 6 p.m., as though all the hot water had run out. The food was plentiful but quite basic and lacked flavour. Unfortunately, both of us experienced upset stomachs during the final days of our stay, despite being careful with food choices and alcohol. Some restaurant staff were great, while others seemed disinterested. We were never offered poolside drinks service during the entire 10 days, even though others around us were — but that wasn’t a major issue, as we didn’t mind getting our own. Sunbeds were always available, especially early in the day, though they became harder to find later on. There were several large groups during our stay, which sometimes made the atmosphere noisy and disrupted mealtimes, as tables were constantly being rearranged. The gym itself is great, but the opening hours (9–12:30 p.m. and 3–7 p.m.) aren’t very convenient and don’t fit well around meal times. Overall: This hotel has the potential to be fantastic but definitely needs improvement. It’s certainly not 4 or 5-star standard — more like a 3-star at present. Easy fixes: • Modernise and refresh all rooms • Ensure there’s enough hot water for evening showers • Check and restock minibars daily • Encourage staff to be equally attentive to all guests, not just a select few With some updates and better consistency in service, this could be a truly great hotel.

Hele fijne vakantie gehad. Heel vriendelijk personeel, schone en grote kamer. En de ligging is perfect. Eten is heel gevarieerd en voor ieder wat wils.

2nd visit here , Great location, right on promenade, great pool area lots of loungers + tiered beds.Swim up bar is good , & the pool bar is lovely with seating which is also good for the great snack bar .Lots of activities during the day and I used the gym which looks over the beach, really cool!. Our room was good,lovely shower. we were on 2nd floor side view but our in laws room was at the front and they found it to be rather noisy late at night (adjoining Night club!) Food was excellent and the bars and bar staff were very good. A typical 4 star+ Riu hotel standard wise and we would recommend it as a great place to enjoy Agadir.

My partner and I stayed here for the first time 08/09/25 - 22/09/25 and had a wonderful holiday. The hotel is beautiful, immaculately clean in the public areas and the pool area is like a little green oasis right near a promenade that runs alongside the beautiful beach all the way down to the harbour. We did have a hiccup in being allocated a room without a balcony when we had booked a room with a balcony. It was a case of third time lucky as the second room they gave us overlooked a service road with a grim view of the hotel next door. The third room was room 4 which had a partial pool view but almost completely blocked by the vegetation but that was ok. Unfortunately a plus point - being close to the bar - brought a negative, it was next to a service room and the noise from there was loud until the staff finished for the evening. The room though was fine - clean, spacious and comfortable. Food was a mixed bag. It did feel somewhat “samey”, it could have been warmer but there was a lot of choice and the desserts were fantastic, as was the fresh bread. We really didn’t enjoy the a la carte restaurant however. The service and food was poor standard, I could have chewed my flip flop and they’d have been less tough than the steak! Entertainment ranged from ordinary to brilliant. The violinist in the yellow bar was incredible as were the acrobats and magician and the dancers. The resident singers weren’t great but it just encouraged us to spend time in the resort rather than confining ourselves to the hotel which was fine. The tui entertainment team were lovely especially Sara and Isabelle and latterly Laura who arrived late in our holiday, the energy in the aqua dance was extraordinary! The hotel staff were generally excellent and we were amazed how they’d remember our order and where we liked to sit given the number of guests they see daily -a special mention to Moustapha in the lunch restaurant and also to Amine on an evening who was so much fun! The best waiter in tikida beach 😄 We did some excursions - the day trip to Marrakech was fantastic and is a must-do. The city tour of Agadir including the cable car was a fun few hours although it was very hot and humid that day and there was some walking. The 4x4 tour into tbe high Atlas Mountains was another great day although it was disappointing that our driver could not speak any English, it was still very interesting and saw some spectacular views. One of the undoubted highlights was the Hamman massage that we booked on the tui app. So good, we did it twice! On the first occasion they didn’t come to collect us which was frustrating but the Tui rep Catrin - who was fantastic at her job, so friendly and helpful - managed to rearrange at a later time and offered to wait with us to ensure we were picked up. We were and it was fantastic! Highly recommend. We loved our time here and would definitely return. Thank you to all of the hotel and Tui staff.

Mainly the hotel was ok. Public areas,pools,garden and restaurants were good as was the food. We did not take part in any of the animation or view the entertainment. On the downside, reception could be unhelpfully our room was most disappointing.

Hi just going home from this hotel definitely not a 4 star tui blue more like a rui red dated hotel porr food that doesn't get replimeshed everything cold rooms very damp electrics that don't work been to lots of tui blue hotels and think this is of a very poor standard won't be back

Hôtel et personnel très accueillants et chaleureux ! Manque d’animations sportives de l’équipe, pas de navette ou taxi prévu pour notre arrivée et notre départ, on a failli louper notre avion alors que nous devions avoir un chauffeur ( confirmé par Expedia et l’hôtel)

L'hôtel est vieillissant et ses infrastructures également. Nous avions un voilage déchiré dans notre chambre et le double rideau était décroché à certains endroits... Le personnel est très gentil et serviable. Par contre, cela fait plus de 15 ans que nous venons dans cet hôtel et cette année, nous y avons trouvé du changement : c'est un hôtel pour les anglais, rien n'est prévu pour les français (animations) ! Ne parlons pas de la nourriture : associations douteuses dans les salades, nourriture fade et insipide et toujours pareil. C'était une corvée de venir manger, tellement ce n'était pas bon. D'ailleurs, nous ne mangions pas le soir... Résultat : vous avez perdu 2 clients fidèles car nous ne viendrons plus dans votre hôtel.

Came here as a group of 8 ladies celebrating a big birthday. Two of our number had an issue with the first room they were allocated, but this was resolved the next morning. The rooms are big with tea and coffee and a small fridge with soft drinks. My cleaner was lovely and left nice touches in the room for us. The staff speak English but speak better French, so I enjoyed testing my O level language skills. The food was lovely and the drinks selections were good with decent spirits, mixers and wine. All staff and the entertainment team worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time. They organised a cake at short notice for instance. You can book excursions or get a taxi outside to the souke or the marina I had a Hannam massage in the hotel spa which was lovely. I went out a few times alone and never had any hassle. People will try and sell you things but will go away if You say no politely. It was lovely to see lots of families out playing on the beach. My only criticism was the towel on sunbed brigade. You need to be up early . Overall, a great hotel with wonderful staff and friendly tourists.
