"Overall a really enjoyable stay"

8.0

Our room was very spacious with a beautiful view of both the sea and pool . The bathroom was huge with good powerful shower. The bed was very hard and took some getting used to. The staff on reception , the bar staff and the cleaning staff were all very friendly. The staff in the dining hall were a little bit hit and miss, we tipped when we received good service however im the restaurant they seems to be a culture that they expect you to tip to get good service. The entertainment staff were great , look out for Adam the photographer he takes great photos when you don't realise and you can buy them at a small cost. I enjoyed the food, my partner is a little more fussy and didn't enjoy it so much. The pool has a nice relaxed atmosphere with some pool games and aqua aerobics. A vistt to the spa for the Haman massage is a must it was lovely and very relaxing . The location is great a few shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk and a few pounds in a taxi to the Marina. I recommend a vist to the Croc park we really enjoyed it.

"The hotel would be even better without TUI BLUE"

10.0

We stayed in the hotel for 3 weeks in October. We are neither English nor French. For us it is the ideal place to relax. After busy working life in Europe we like a place where it is quiet, without loud music or silly entertainment games. Every time we wanted to sit outside we found without any problem a place on the higher beds, a bit away of the pool. It was very relaxing to be surrounded by trees and we liked watching the birds. A little bit annoying is that some guests take more then one cushion each, but the staff was always ready to help us to find one we could use. Food was always good, especially on Tuesdays when they do a lot of Maroccan dishes. Even after 3 weeks we didn't think the buffets were boring. We enjoyed the fresh fish on the show cooking. And we couldn't understand why an adult's only hotel serves chicken nuggets 😐 . The biggest disappointment was the fruit: it was nice sliced but often still very hard. Pomegranates are in season but were often not on the buffet. Waiter service during meals was always very good up till excellent. We went most days rather early in for food, so we never had a problem with finding a table. There are lot of new young waiters and some of them worked as good and efficient as the usual staff. It was a pleasure to meet them. They work very hard, being polite to them and a tip as reward for good service goes a long way. In the garden we were never asked if we wanted to drink something. So we walked up ourselves to the bar. Service was correct but in contrast with the excellent service in the restaurants not 'wow wow '. Everywhere the hotel was very clean. It is not brand new, but we considered that as "charming". We kept wondering what the extra value of the TUI people is? Most of them spoke only English. We think the hotel would better become a normal RIU hotel, without all the fuss of TUI Blue. We were unpleasant surprised by how rude guests could be against some staff members. Ignoring waiters, taking cups from laid out tables in stead of asking them, coming in for lunch or dinner in clothes that are only suitable on the beach. We think the management should be much more strict about this. We will go back.

"A few hiccups along the way but will definitely be returning!"

8.0

Pros- - check in was easy and fast, I’d previously had emailed them as I wasn’t happy with how the booking was done (when we booked we had to pay for a balcony room as the standard rooms without was the ones that came included so we booked one room with and one room without. A week went by checked again and it had switched so the balconies were included in the price and had to pay for the standard rooms. TUI didn’t sort this out so requested for two balconies) when we checked in they had said they had given us two balconies. To our surprise when we got in they were two massive balconies and a sea view! - We mainly stayed at the bigger pool, on the right side of the pool is was really shallow (you could sit down in it and would come up to your belly button) deepest part of the pool was on the right side. Nobody could stand up in that part of the pool. But where the pool bar is that’s where majority of people can stand. We went on a bit of an iffy few weeks weather wise was only hitting about 26 degrees at the end of July/ start of August so not that many people were in the pool. Before going there were some posts I had seen about not being allowed inflatables in the pool, ignore all of these posts you are allowed them! - Our rooms were nice and quiet, no noise from the hallways we were overlooking the back of the hotel next door. You could hear them if they was emptying bins or if the kitchen was expecting a delivery but was nothing too loud. - Food was lovely! - Nice and clean complex - You had shops in a walkable distance, not too far from the hotel (5min walk) - We went end of July/start of August. We never had problems with sunbeds (it was hard as we was a group of 8 so getting 8 all together was a struggle but did manage to get some) until about half way through and new guests came, everything had changed we could no longer get sunbeds by around 9am/10am you’d see the odd few around. - Entertainment was good. The team do try their best but both normal bingo and music bingo should last longer not just 5-10 mins. Seems like a waste of time to go up there and play. Darts lasted about half an hour which I think is a decent amount of time. They did there first pool party of the season on our last week and we loved it! Definitely some work that could need doing to it though (health and safety risks will be explained in the cons) evening entertainment was also good, reps got everyone up dancing most nights! Was good fun! - Reps were fantastic!! Hey to Isabelle and the rest of the crew if you’re reading!! The reps are the reason we’d go back! They made the holiday for us! We was the group that kept trying to win the candle holders but didn’t get anywhere and they gave us some for free! Forever grateful for that! They was always willing to help! I want to be a rep myself one day so was quizzing the reps on what it’s like. Got the best answers from them. Can’t wait to go back and see if they’re all still there :) - Huge wardrobe space and massive rooms with big balconies! Cons- - cockroaches are a big thing at the hotel! We had 4 rooms in total, both on the 3rd floor but at opposite ends. 2 rooms ended up with cockroaches, we also got stuck in the lift with one, after that I didn’t take any of the lifts. Once staff were informed about the rooms they did spray them out, but just be mindful when keeping balcony doors open, even if you’re not by anything as they do fly. There was one in the lobby by the bar on our last night too. - The food at the al la carte was horrid. We went in at 7pm and didn’t get out at 9pm! Wasn’t given much option on the menu. The appetiser and starter was okay nothing special. For the main we had steak which was really tough! We spent over an hour trying to chew the food, the mash potatoes we got with it was lumpy too. The dessert was okay but again nothing special. We had a birthday within our party and the hotel knew, they brought out a cake which said “happy anniversary” wasn’t happy about this as I’d checked with them three times previously that it was a birthday. The birthday girl had a crown on, a shash (ect) and yet staff still took it to the wrong table and laughed. Appalling behaviour. Did report it to the reps but heard nothing back. There was also multiple people on that day that ordered the steak and walked out! The staff members told us that themselves! - Shop onsite is very basic, can find better souvenirs and cheaper ones in the local shops around the resort. - Although the pool party was great, there was a huge safety risk, with how much foam was coming out, you couldn’t really see the pool top, after sometime the reps had to get in as all the wires were getting wet! Something could’ve went dangerously wrong there and hoping that they do keep having the pool parties but definitely need to sort out the wire situation. The pool party was supposed to be on from 3pm-5pm. It took them a whole hour to set up, I thought they would’ve extended it by another hour as it wasn’t our fault it was theirs but that didn’t happen… - They gave us some flowers for the birthday girl, but nothing else. Maybe I’m being picky but I’ve been to many hotels and we’ve got more than just some flowers. The cake they brought out to us in the al la carte also got cut up for us (4 slices, one for each) and then got taken away from us and wasn’t seen again which again wasn’t something I was happy with, from past experiences we get to keep the cake. - There was paint constantly peeling off the balconies from all parties. The maids didn’t clean this up, just made it look like a mess in pictures and some rooms had it worse then others in the end we just made a massive pile for it all to go. They was also doing some painting in the lobby area of the hotel one of the days the fumes made it stink, wasn’t nice to be around. Feel like this should’ve been done during a quieter season - We was sitting in the lobby one day and seen they was doing welcome drinks for people arriving. Now every English group they came never got welcome drinks so I thought it must be someone big that was arriving, when they arrived it turned out to be a lot of French tourists. Did make me question why none of the English could get welcome drinks but the French could? It didn’t ruin the holiday but we seen it happen a few times with different things and you can tell the French are looked at highly. But this shouldn’t be happening. It’s classed as discrimination. - The nightclub is a waste of time! It’s more of a lounge than nightclub, there’s nowhere to dance just seats. Conclusion- We absolutely loved our stay despite some hiccups along the way. All of our party said we’d be back at some point in the future! We look forward to coming back here! - The sea mist is a thing over there but don’t let it fool you we all managed to get burnt on the first day! Some days the sea mist won’t clear up and majority of the days it lifted ( I’d probably 8 days out of our 10 night stay is was clear by midday) - TUI also failed to mention we was delayed until pick up time. I checked the app as soon as we checked out of our rooms and it had said we had a 3/4hr delay. Went to the reps and they said it had been delayed but only our group knew at that time and she said that she wouldn’t want to tell any of the other guests as it could change. Now this delay wasn’t going to change as it was a backlog from the day before where a plane had to do an emergency landing at BHX. By the time the plane left Birmingham still none of the other guests were told what was going on. They only got told when they all came and sat waiting for the transfer to pick us up. (We didn’t get picked up for another 2/3hrs) TUI really need to do better when it comes to communicating with their staff and customers. Hotel was brilliant dealing with this situations though

"Extremely Disappointing – Not What You’d Expect from a RIU Hotel"

2.0

I booked this hotel directly through the RIU website, fully expecting the quality and service I’ve come to associate with the RIU brand. Unfortunately, this experience was anything but that. From the moment we arrived, it was clear something was off. There was no red carpet welcome for RIU Class members, and the staff were all in TUI uniforms. The presence of a “TUI Blue” rep stand made the whole place feel more like a package holiday resort than a RIU property. Our room had a strong damp smell that never went away—and by the end of the week, our clothes smelled just as bad. The in-room safe was also faulty, with non-functioning buttons, which added to our frustration. The food became repetitive quickly, with very little variety throughout the week. Drinks were of poor quality—no branded options, just cheap and unpleasant alternatives. This is absolutely not the level of hospitality or quality I expect from RIU. I attempted to raise my concerns with hotel management, but was dismissed rudely—they literally scoffed and walked away. I've since submitted a formal complaint to RIU and am awaiting a response. In short, this hotel does not live up to the RIU name or standards. I would not return and cannot recommend it to others expecting a genuine RIU experience.

"Dirtiest hotel I’ve been to - Would not return"

2.0

Having previously stayed at a Tui Blue hotel we were very excited about coming to Tikida Beach. We arrived at 1am and we were wowed by the stunning reception area and equally impressed by the large bedroom with balcony with lovely view of the pool. Next day we woke up to full sea mist that never lifted so we explored the beach and joined in all the daytime activities. Activity staff Oliver Sara and Isobel were ace, a credit to the hotel! One evening we went to eat in the culinarium and sadly that’s when our holiday changed. My partner woke with unbelievable stomach cramps and diarrhoea. He was so ill Tui activity staff offered to call a doctor but at 9am I went to local chemist where I was given antibiotics and tablets for cramps. Sadly he lost this day as couldn’t leave the room. It was then that we started to notice issues with hygiene more. Dirty plates by the pool all day, chef moving bacon round with his fingers at breakfast, no bacterial spray to wipe down tables just tissue or a manky cloth, (mats were just turned over between guests) very stained cushions at the pool, hand sanitizer empty in main restaurant, dirty glasses and cutlery and smelly bedrooms that smelt of poop. The walk to reception from our room smelt like diarrhoea so much we nicknamed it diarrhoea alley. After speaking to many others who had been ill we went to speak to the rep who was not interested one bit and said no one else had been ill. Once my partner was well enough to leave the room we couldn’t leave the hotel as we still needed to be close to a toilet. We did try on our second to last day and he had to stop in a cafe to use the toilet and take Imodium half way down prom to marina as the cramps had started again. We managed one trip out on our last day to do dune buggies dosed up with Imodium but the poor weather and sickness ruined our experience of Agadir. We would not return to this hotel and would advise think very carefully before booking this hotel and if already booked to plenty of Imodium and hand sanitizer and watch what you eat

"Great holiday experience."

10.0

Spent one week here and enjoyed it very much. Our hotel room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the gardens and the seafront. Service from all staff was very friendly, efficient, helpful and attentive and this added to the whole positive holiday experience for me. The evening entertainment was fun and varied, the restaurant area served a great variety of hot and cold foods to a high standard with excellent staff attention. The pool area was large, the gardens tended well, with ample sunloungers and a great drinks service too. The hotel's situation close to the esplanade makes it easy to walk along towards cafés and shops and further on to the marina with more shops, cafés etc. All in all highly recommended.

"Lovely hotel with friendly staff!"

8.0

We visited just for a few days in September. We had such a good time here. Nice and relaxing. The staff are very helpful when we had a couple of issues in our room. They were sorted very quickly. Syeed at the bar by the restaurant near the pool made a lovely cup of coffee and we went down most mornings. Very nice guys. Food was lovely and again staff attentive during meal times. We changed money up at the hotel which gave a good rate. The entertainment wasn’t our cup of tea but a lot of people enjoyed it. Drinks at the bars were good and quite strong sometimes! We would go back.

"First TUI Blue"

8.0

This was our first experience of a TUI Blue We was unsure if this would make a difference to the hotel other than been adult only Upon arrival reception staff at check in very friendly, allocated our room the first thing I saw when opening the door was cockroaches the porter(Rachid) brought our cases &took us back to reception to change rooms, which was done immediately even very late at night. All staff were very friendly in all areas particularly the upstairs bar Did notice tables been saved for some nationalities in the restaurants. The second room we was give was kept spotless by Souad There was plenty of choice in the restaurants and the Al-carte is certainly worth a visit We don’t tend to stay around the pool so sunbed saving doesn’t worry us, but it was difficult to get a sunbed on the beach all taken by 9.30am so people must also save on the beach as we didn’t see people on some of them for sometime We would use Both this hotel and TUI Blue again We done a couple of trips through TUI very well organised

"Worst Tui hotel we’ve been too"

4.0

I’ve been to many a tui hotel and I have to say from a service side this is far the best. The staff make this place.Mustafa in the lunch time restaurant by the sea and the lady in the show bar are just a few names of the amazing staff. The gardens are beautiful and all areas are clean and well looked after. However the Food and drink is terrible. I’m surprised Tui put their name to this hotel. There’s a lack of variety of alcohol choice and no prosecco. Which is a shame. We’re not fussy eaters but the food is very similar each evening no themes like other Tui blue hotels. Meat is over cooked and tough and often cold. The promanard is great to have a walk along. Lots of families out with their children and lots of people exercising . So if you’re a runner bring your trainers. Would we come back…. No. The food lets this hotel down. The staff are absolutely amazing and they deserve their tips.
