Hotel Riu Tikida Beach - Adults Only - All inclusive

I have been on many holidays including TUI blue hotels and this was the most disappointing hotel I have experienced and not TUI blue standards. This is no reflection on the trying staff. The pool was fine apart from the filthy cushions provided, they need to go as they are unhygienic and never changed.my main issue was the food standards and cleanliness at breakfast , lunch and dinner . The Al a carte was not much better with the manure not changing in two weeks , breakfast is poor uncooked boiled eggs and most of the fried were broken and replenishment was poor so needed to get in early. Coffee cups most covered in lipstick and dirty cutlery most days. At lunch most food was warm and it was the same every day, the french tipped the chefs and we're sometimes treated better handing over plates and receiving hot food. In most all inclusive the menus did change every few days but not here and no theme nights. Dinner was much the same warm or cold food that should have been hot. I think I must have been spoilt with Egypt standards. We all had bad bellys at least once and resorted to eating out like a number of other guests. The food let's this hotel down massivly

We just had a lovely holiday in this hotel. What can I say 10 out of 10! We had a huge bedroom with sea view at the Spa end of the hotel. The hotel is spotless. The staff in all departments, are hard working and so helpful. My wife is disabled and they couldn't do enough to help. Even helped us organising to hire a mobility scooter. Tips are appreciated but not expected, you still get spoiled even if you don't tip, just be friendly, they love a chat! The pool is lovely, the beach is fantastc, clean and family friendly. Agadir is a really nice place and the Moroccan people are kind and friendly. The food in the hotel is absolutely fantastic! There's a huge choice of Moroccan food and international dishes. The only thing that I feel is needed are more sun beds on the beach, as if you get there after lunch you might not get one, but it really is a minor issue. In relation to the weather, sometimes you do get some seamist/clouds in the morning, which clears by lunch time. We were here for 12 days and we had amazing weather, it was nice to explore the Souk and Agadir in the morning when it wasn't so warm. The hotel Spa is great, we did the TUI package Hammam experience which was superb.😀

Arrived in the evening so restaurants were closed but we had a plate of bread, cheese etc in the room. Our room was large and kept very clean by Zarah. Staff at the hotel very friendly especially Illyass, Fizha and Nasine at the pool bar.( forgive spelling) Food in the main restaurant was generally cold although there was plenty of variety and more attention is needed in keeping tables clean as they were quite grubby . Pool area was nice with plenty of sunbeds but the beds on the beach were nowhere enough for the guests. Never managed to get one. Towels on beds very early despite the hotel stating they could not be saved. Also lots of people carrying food to the pool area again this wasn’t supposed to happen. Not enough seating in the area where the entertainment took place so we usually didn’t get to see it. Overall we had a good time but would not return

We stayed here for 11 nights. Great location, the hotel was clean, rooms were very spacious, and beds were very comfortable. Reception staff were very helpful but the bar staff were extremely unfriendly and bordering on rude most of the time. The food was lukewarm most days although plenty of choice. Constantly running out of eggs at breakfast and they were mostly undercooked. The A La Carte restaurant was much better quality of food and hot! Entertainment was hit and miss. The dancers were good but some of the singers were just awful. The 2 Tui entertainment reps Sara and Oliver were fantastic organizing fun activities which we participated e.g. aqua aerobics, darts and table tennis. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, but the lukewarm buffet food and rude bar staff really lets this hotel down.

In the end Arrived 3/10/25 on the detour flight quickly checked in at 2.15am ROOM room 198 OPP the promenade and beach couldn’t ask for better room large and spacious massive shower and separate toilet but feel need to put double bed for couples rather than 2 singles pushed together but needs refurb bed light hanging and reading light no switch but u don’t spend all time in the room cleaned every day but fridge and tea and coffee every other day really needs doing everyday air con strange controller tells you the room temp u adjust to temp u want ur room to be but never gets down to that temperature so think hotel amhas set up so it benefits them Food and drink Plenty of variety but a lot was lukewarm not hot but always something to eat careful of eggs in morning not cooked properly drinks alcohol is local not premium like other riu I stayed in but definitely drinkable waiting staff lovely but if u looked after them they look after you don’t hurt to tip 20dhm (£1) but to them means a lot and goes a long way Entertainment Bit hit and miss Isabella was the entertainment rep she was lovely but had to do it all as never saw the other reps

Great stay at riu tikida beach. Before going to Morocco I was a bit apprehensive about going as I've heard mixed reviews but 100% would return to agadir and this hotel. Hotel staff were friendly built up Great relationships with them during my stay. Mo at the pool bar was great always asking if wanted drinks had banter with him made our time round the pool really enjoyable. The waitress in the lunch room (forgot her name) was lovely saved us a table by the window overlooking the sea again very attentive always making sure we had everything we needed. Entertainment team was great again had great time with them making the games fun for us guests. Isabelle and christian were great but I think glad to see the back of us after winning all the tea light holders in the games 🤣 Food was good but repetitive was pretty much the same everyday Weather was a bit hit and miss though during our stay. There is like a sea mist that does eventually burn away but can take most of the day but on the weather apps it says it sunny but has this sea mist. Moroccan a la carte was ok not fantastic just ok but worth a visit. Never got to try the other a la carte at the hotel. Entertainment on the evening was good especially the music bingo we loved it even the Moroccan evening was decent worth a watch. Our room was overlooking the pool with limited sea view. The room was big and spacious. Bed was comfy. Bathroom had a few scuffs in it on the shelves but no biggy never affected our stay. Couple of grumbles about the room tho it was next door to a cleaning cupboard at the start of our stay staff was going in there banging around sweeping at 5am waking us up but we told reception and then it stopped. Also couldn't really leave our bedroom door open to the balcony as there is many birds about and they come onto the balcony from the trees outside. Beds by pool were great very spacious we got up a bit earlier to get the beds we wanted but if you come down at 9 there will still be beds available. Pool area and the pool was cleaned everyday. We had a fantastic time at the hotel met some lovely people and would definitely return to this hotel at somepoint. Would definitely recommend this hotel very good value for money for the price. Agadir and the beach was lovely wishing I was still there.

This hotel has a great location being right on the beach with a lovely promenade for walking. The standard rooms are large and spacious, but could do with a little TlC in places with lamp shades cracked and rusting around the metal frame. And unfortunately the rule about saving sunbeds even though its on the Tui blue app and signs around the pool, we saw guests putting towels out at 7am it was still dark. A large proportion of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. And the TUI reps were very good and very helpful (Cat and Larch) Having stayed in TUI Medina Gardens hotel last year where the standard was excellent Tikida Beach is not of the same standard and needs to come up to the same standard. We saw food plates left near the pool and rooms over night and all of the next day with bits of food on. We found on one occasion that when we wanted to exchange some money they said it wasn't open and this was after 4pm when it should have been. We were allocated room 23 which looks out onto the service road for the hotel next door and you get a constant noise from their extractor fans and air conditioning units, and there is no decent view.

We arrived late to the hotel due to our flight being diverted to drop someone off at Faro. No not a planned drop off. This delayed us 2hrs arriving to the hotel. This is our 2nd year here, and it doesn't fail to disappoint. The staff across every service are amazing. The hotel is spotless. Service faultless, and the food superb. For us as an older couple in our 50s this is just perfect for us. No boom boom music constantly through the day, the entertainment is a happy balance. There's lots of lovely areas to sit and have a drink, all of which spotlessly clean. We love it so much we are going back again next year. The staff make this holiday special. Thank you ❤️

First and foremost the hygiene in the restaurant at the TUI blu Tikida Beach is very poor, dirty cups, plates, cutlery. Food is cold and often undercooked. Tables are not laid breakfast is the worse. Our party of 6 were all ill and we reported to TUI rep who later denied we'd even spoken to him (Lars) The hotel pool - if you like to get up around 7am you may get a bed, cushions were filthy though We booked 3 rooms together with pool view, ended up on different floors overlooking the noisy delivery entrance, couldn't be moved told hotel full appalling for a TUI Blu Riu would have had better from a budget back street hotel. We won't be back or trust TUI ever again. Have to add some of the are lovely, can't tell you about management they are somewhere with head buried in sand 🤦🤮🤬

We were disappointed, not what we expect from a TUI Blue hotel. Tikida Gardens was such a better holiday. The hotel rooms need updating, clean but in need of decorating and cupboard doors don't close etc. Service, was excellent however they could use more staff in the dining rooms. Food, very poor - the egg chef definitely doesn't know how to cook eggs. They are fried and left on plates beside the grill until the ones on already out have been used - by the time you get them they are like rubber. The chefs wait til food has run out before they start to cook more so you either wait or get fed up and try to get something else. The pasta is cooked and again left out until it's all gone, if you're not there when it's fresh it's cold and stuck together. Nothing is replaced until the plate/tray is empty. Location was what we asked for a beach location however the beach again nothing to be excited about, they're plastic beds, never washed etc with dirty cushions on. The atmosphere was okay and the noise levels were quiet. There were always plenty of beds available however the hotel do allow people to save beds very early, there were so many who would reserve beds and disappear for the day. They state they don't allow this but in our two weeks there they never once removed towels. Bed reserving wasn't an issue during our first week but the second week was ridiculous. The toilets near the pool were not very clean either often running out out toilet paper and soap. I did not think this hotel was good for value, you pay a premium for it being a beach front location. Definitely will not return.
