Hotel Riu Tikida Beach - Adults Only - All inclusive

Having previously stayed in a Riu Palace we had good expectations of this as a Tui Blue hotel. Don't be fooled, most of the staff are only interested if you are or speak French. They were served in front of British and German and preference was given across the hotel. The hotel itself is dated and the bathrooms could do with a deep clean. Sun beds are crammed around a relatively small pool and although signs are everywhere about not being able to reserve a sun bed people are allowed to with most going by 7am! We witnessed staff on the beach also reserving for guests who did not turn up till later in the day. Food is repetitive, the same things every day, although well presented and hot. We did find some waiters in the restaurants who made us feel welcome and remembering our preferences. We did as normal and tipped where appropriate. When requesting a courtesy room we were given one that smelled.of smoke, no clean towels and also dirty from previous guests but apparently as the hotel was full this was to be expected!! Needless to say we changed in the toilets as probably cleaner. Agadir itself is a lovely clean place with friendly people and we would definitely consider returning just not with Tui or at a Riu

Arrived at the Hotel, and was quickly checked in ( rooms were not ready until 2.30pm, so went to lunch first ). Room was very large and clean ( very big shower ). Just a few things we found wrong in the room, you could not ajust the air condition as its set, the sink did not run away and the toilet seat was very loose. Could have also had some drawers in the room for smaller items. Pool area was very nice ( still get people reserving sunbeds at the crack of dawn, and then not using them all day. This needs to be address by the Hotel ). The pool bar fizzy drinks machine was broken, so you could not get carbonated drinks for a few days also. Some of the sunbeds need to be replaced as they are sagging. Breakfast hall really could do with another toaster and a second coffee machine, these get vert busy at times. But did have a good range of foods to choose from ( needed to be hotter ). Lunch time food hall run out of bread rolls for the soup half an hour after opening one day, was told by staff they have finshed for today. Dinner time meals were very good, loved the hot meat counter. We found its best to find a table that you like and tip staff member so that you get looked after, most of the staff were great, just a few that were very rude. Did not think the entertainment was that great at night ( some of the singers were awful ). Also did not like the cheap ready made cocktails from the bottels, so stuck to wine and beer. We stay as two couples in rooms 118 and 232, would we come back, yes the hotel is very nice and the staff are great.

If you have booked this hotel you are in for a treat. We have returned after 2 weeks stay. The service from all staff is incredible, hotel is kept immaculately clean, food is outstanding, catered for all diets and tastes. Meat, fish, salads galore, traditional food (yes you can have chips) and superb dessert selection!! We had treatments at the Spa, great prices and a wonderful experience. The activities team work really hard to motivate you, its great fun, highly recommend joining in, with Sara, Isabella and Oliver, whether you play darts, shuttle board, French bowls , have a go at general knowledge quizzes or join in daily aqua fit you will have an absolute blast. The beach clean, although the sea can be a bit rough, its great fun though. Lovely walks on the promenade on evenings/mornings. There was no harassment at all, just politely say no thanks and you are left alone. No issues with mosquitos but definite issue with flies, be sure to take something that may deter them from bothering you.

I'm not one for reviews but thought I'd take a go whilst waiting on our transfer! This hotel is amazing and im so glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews. The staff, especially Fathima who did our housekeeping and the barman near the snackbar who kept by other half topped up =) we didnt tip either until we checked out. It is noticed more in the waiters/restaurant staff if you don't tip there and then, but it didn't bother us and always found a table etc The food was spot on and always managed to find something at all meals. (Although i was gutted no brie on my last night) Having the snack bar was a nice addition as it meant we could have chips around the pool and the other half could have pancakes too. There was no need to go into the lunch buffet, we didnt use it once in the entire week. If you have a chance to go to the culinarium then I recommend you go, even if just for the experience. We didnt try the Moroccan one as didnt fancy much on the menu. There was no issues in getting sunbeds, although we went for the day beds instead, and still no issues. Though there was the odd occasion when there were beds near us woth towels on and not used all day!! Managed to get a bed by the little pool this morning! Must have been last day luck 🤣 we ventured to the beach to watch the sunset last night. Its a shame that there isn't a bar on the beach as feel it would be utilised more. We didnt do any trips etc as this was a complete do nothing holiday for us. Though we did go for a wander up the promenade until we both got too hot! All of the reps are lovely and try to get you involved in the activities which is really nice. I can see why people always return to this hotel =)

Stayed here the first week in September. The hotel is lovely and our room (303) was huge. Plenty wardrobe space. Kettle for tea/coffee. Really good size shower with separate toilet. The food was good and plenty of sunbeds.

Had a great holiday only here for 7 days but wish we booked longer. The food was good drinks were good bar maid I believe her name was nesire may of spelt that wrong would always make new and different drinks when requested which was great. The entertainment was fun always keeping it fresh with new games and things every other day ! The TUI team were fantastic especially Isabelle she brought great energy to the team with her funny Isabelle rules and smiley positive attitude would definitely come back

Would not return ! Never a ‘true’ Tui Blue hotel. Rooms - stale/ musky damp smell - particularly the wooden wardrobes. Food - lacked variety, not 4* , just not appealing. Sunbeds - more or less all reserved by 7am ( although hotel say its prohibited- they do not enforce this ) All twin beds that separate with no topper facility. To top all that - Weather in Agadir in July/ August has a sea mist fog/ sun hardly breaks through - 2 weeks , 3 days sun.

This was our 4th visit to the Tikida Beach. The hotel and gardens are beautiful and well looked after. All staff are helpful and friendly and work hard so you can have the best holiday. There is so much food to choose from at every meal time and all well presented. We didn't find it repetitive at all. The Tui Blue entertainment team are great. There are many activities which you can take part if you wish. We enjoyed darts, French boules, sjoelbak, quizzes and more all hosted by the brilliant Sadik and Isabelle. There are lots of places to chill out and just relax and just enjoy being on holiday.

Hotel RIU TIKIDA BEACH is a great place. What marked my experience is the staff. From the check in desk to the cleaning lady, everyone was so welcoming. Special Thanks to the check in desk team and barmen (Especially M'barek and Khadija) they have made our stay so special The breakfast and Dinner buffet were so good. Hats off to the chefs. Lunch buffets needs improvement Alcohol selection can be better WiFi internet needs to be improved. sometimes it stops working
