Ballachulish Hotel

Cosy room with large bathroom. Beautiful views over the Loch. The restaurant was good; tasty food at reasonable prices We stayed two nights and on the second morning there were no yoghurts for breakfast but aside from that, it was great.

Beautiful hotel with a fantastic view of Loch Linnhe. The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were charming and helpful. We didn't get everyone's names, but Johnny and Callum at the bar & restaurant were delightful.

Really enjoyed my stay. Hotel has clearly undergone a recent renovation and size and standard of accommodation was high. The old staircase is a bit loud and creaky for thise that may be light sleepers (I had no problems), but that comes with the character of such a beautiful old building. Staff were very helpful and friendly, although I did feel the hotel was somewhat understaffed for the size of the hotel. Breakfast was the only slight dissapointment with the self service buffet leaving food a bit lukewarm, albeit the selection on offer was excellent. I would certainly stay again on my next trip to the area.

The hotel is beautiful. The dinner was fraught with staffing problems. There was dinner for a bus-load of people in the back room and not enough servers for the rest of us.

Firstly, the staff was very accommodating when I requested a different room upon arrive because the first room to which I was assigned was directly above the bar and incredibly loud. They made up a different room for me which was much appreciated. However, overall I found my stay lackluster. The shower was impossible to adjust to make it spray downwards, and the water was a dingy brown color from all the taps. I was so exhausted I didn’t notice when I fell into bed the first night, but the next day when I returned to my room I noticed copious amounts of hair all across the top of the duvet, and it didn’t belong to me. Overall, if I had the trip to do over, I wouldn’t stay here again.

The food at the restaurant was really good and waking up the views just outside the hotel was really breathtaking

If you're interested in meeting Glencoe, the hotel becomes a great option since it offers a great breakfast and is just a few minutes away from the Glencoe trail. Despite arriving late, the hotel found a way to enable our check-in.

This is a real cute charming little hotel and well worth the money. Has a nice view of the loch (from my room). Staff maybe not so friendly as I'd have liked. Water in pipes maybe not super clean. No lifts, hotel is an antique. But a real nice place, would stay there again.

Kai in the restaurant was always very helpful. The guy always had a smile on his face! Great central location.

The staff is professional, helpful and very friendly. We had dinner and breakfast at hotel restaurant and the food was just amazing. Room and bathroom was spacious and clean. Very much enjoyed our stay. Will come back.
