Ballachulish Hotel

We have a lovely, albeit short, stay at the Ballaculish Hotel. What a lovely historic building, the room was very nicely done and well-maintained, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend a stay here!

Wonderful hotel in a great old building. The beds were very comfortable and rooms were equipped with all amenities. FISH restaurant served delicious food. Thanks again for a great stay!

This inn is located right on the water. Our room had a lovely view of the bay and was decorated nicely with a comfortable bed. The lady at the feont desk was exceptionally helpful and friendly and was the highlight of our stay (we never got her name!) The buffet breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day. You can't beat the scenery in this area, it is breathtaking!

I loved the beauty of the hotel, it still had it's historic charm with modern conveniences. Richard at the front desk was very helpful.

The front desk staff were terrific, wait staff varied from good to terrific. Our only negative was no lift, so handling suitcases was challenging for us.

I booked a standard room (not expecting a great view but the view I got was very disappointing, when I asked about a room change the reception Manager stated 'well you only booked a standard room' this room was substandard I had to pay an extra £20 per night just so I didn't have to look at green mould on the wall outside.The floors are so creaky we were woken up every time someone moved in the corridor or rooms above and below That said the rest of the staff were excellent and friendly and the food was good

Restaurant Menu was a little restricted (mainly Fish)

The building itself was magnificently charming, the staff was very kind, informative, and accommodating. Our diner with views of the beautiful setting sun over the loch was one of the most enjoyable diner settings I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.

We ended up checking out within 30 minutes of checking in. We were booked in for 3 nights, however the room was dark, even with the lights on, room was small & tired and outlook from the window was of roof & pipes despite the beautiful location of the hotel. We felt that this was not adequate for a 3 night stay and were truly disappointed. A letter will be getting to the Hotels CEO as we ended up having to find another hotel, which proved difficult and costly due to it being Valentines weekend. Regards Graham Wright
