Ballachulish Hotel

Overall the Room was ok and the location is excellent. What let us down was the poor customer service. Especially at dinner during a Covid Pandemic. There was a weird queue system, even though you had to book a table and the staff wouldn't tell you what was going on. The front desk was unfriendly and was rude to a man who was looking for some food for his family. She told him the kitchen was closed, yet, we still hadn't placed an order for food.

Really comfortable 1 night stay at the hotel which has lovely lounge rooms. Squeaky old staircase was funny and quirky. The room was spotless and comfortable. The hotel felt really safe regarding Covid measures and social distancing. Lady at reception was so nice and helpful also. Would recommend a stay here.

Booked a superior water view room. It was nothing like the picture shown..one very small window and very small in size although when questioning reception they said it was one of their larger room. It definitely needed upgrading in condition although it was clean and for one night was do-able. Restaurant/lounge was very good though.

Never again! The room was over the kitchens and the ventilators (taken from a 747!) kicked in around 6am until 9pm. The radiator was suitable to heat a small cupboard but for the room useless. Overall the hotel had a very run down an tired feel to it.

Our stay in Ballachulish was a one night stopover on a road trip - we were met with comfortable beds, good food and great service. The view was also spectacular! I only wish there had been an espresso machine rather than pot coffee, but that’s a minor thing.

Great location and friendly staff. The hotel has character but could use a refresh. The curtains in our room were badly torn, decor and furniture was straight from the 80’s.

Easy parking beside the building. Carpet in room needed replacing. Large room. Nice view of the loch.

Very nice room. Water coming out of faucet at sink and in shower was brown. This was not a pleasant thing to see. Also saw one of the water pitchers at breakfast that had a slight brown tint to it. Otherwise everything else was good.
