Fairfield Inn & Suites Ames

Overall was a good property to stay at compared to others I have stayed at. We first checked into a room that did not look clean and had a bad smell. The front desk, moved us right away and that room was a lot better.

Clean room, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Our only complaint was the breakfast. The staff was not able to provide plates and food offerings throughout our 6 night stay. The staff shared their boss forgot to place an order and another staff member was excited to be leaving soon as she was fed up with never having what she needed to properly serve guests breakfast in the morning. I see this as a management issue and felt bad for the staff who had to deal with constantly needing to tell guests they were out of the basics.

Breakfast preparation lady was noisy. Breakfast was below average. Not up to mark for Fair Field Inn. Main hotel entry doors were broken. Room service was reluctantly done despite the request. Won’t stay there again. Not worth the money. Would rather stay at quality inn.

Toilet did not work in first room, had to report to front desk, they moved us to another room on a different floor, we moved our belongings to new room & noticed door to room did not latch. Had to go back down to report to desk, they put us in a different room again. After we came back to room to go to bed, TV did not work. It was 11pm, we were tired, we did not feel up to reporting it & have to another room. Rooms were clean but i would not recommend, there are plenty of other hotel options in close area.

Pretty mediocre breakfast for how much a room costs, and hot tub was not hot. But the bed was super comfortable and the place was clean.

Second time we stayed here. Couldn’t be more pleased with this hotel. Great condition. Rooms are clean, kept up to date and comfortable. Like being at home. Highly recommend!

The rooms were FILTHY. The breakfast was limited. The staff is very nice.
