Magnuson Hotel Dixon

Wasn’t expecting much at that price point but it still managed to disappoint. First room was freezing. Cranked the heat, went to dinner, came back, still freezing. Got moved to a different room. It was warmer but filthy. Shower was too gross to use. Staff was friendly though.

There was a stain on the bed cover when we got there. It looked like coffee and we could tell it was fresh because it went all the way through to the mattress pad. It needs a little updating but overall it was just a place to stay. Nothing Spectacular.

The only thing wrong with the room was limescale in the tub around the faucet and drain as well as the showerhead. Also the water went down very slowly in tub and sink. Other than that the overall stay was good.

The water was horrible. It was hot just wouldn’t come out . Complained the first morning. They said they would take care of it but didn’t do anything. Not happy about with they way we were treated .

Dirty rundown piece of junk. Bathroom sink clogged and leaked into a small trash can and towels that were placed there by someone, instead of having it repaired. Wore out bedding and an unpleasant Oder. I would not stay there again.

This place accepted an online booking and then, the following day, cancelled it because they claimed they were overbooked. Several days later, they sent me a request to review my stay, thanking me for the opportunity to be my host. Sorry, that will never happen.

smelled musty and stuffy. We couldn't get into our room, so we attempted to use the bathroom in the general area. The ceiling seriously looked as if it could fall down any minute. There was mold all over the ceiling, the smell was unbelievable. Needless to say I wasn't willing to risk my health by sleeping there. Of course I wasn't entitled to a refund. So disappointed

As I read in previous reviews this hotel is definitely dated. However it was clean and fairly comfortable. A big plus for us is it is pet friendly and very affordable. We were able to get two rooms for the family and take the dog for a fraction of the price for one room and kenneling the dog to have stayed most anywhere else.You won't get a five star experience but you're definitely not paying for one either.

Staff is very friendly N helpful 👍 N if ask questions about location they are well knowledgeable.

Nice location. Lots of parking for pick up trucks. Decent continental breakfast with bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, cereal, orange juice, apple juice, apples. Newer owner is upgrading property and rooms. Very personable and friendly. So it is transitioning. Would and will definitely stay again when traveling thru or to Dixon. Very quiet and since the building is older, it is solid. Great new WiFi.
